About This Game

A flashlight can show you what is there. It cannot make it go away.

A boy. A locked room. Something moving on the other side of the door.

NO SUCH MONSTERS is a single-player, side-scrolling horror adventure that begins inside a familiar house and leads somewhere far stranger. Search for a way out, put everyday objects to unexpected use, and survive encounters with creatures that make every step into the dark feel like a decision.

Follow the trail through underground passages, a ruined chapel, and landscapes that seem pulled from a nightmare. The further you go, the more the adventure changes and finding a way forward means confronting what waits there.

Something is following you

Sweep your flashlight across a room. Listen before moving on. A shape at the edge of the light might be scenery or something waiting for you to come closer.

Face sudden apparitions, unsettling creatures, traps, and frantic pursuits. Some encounters demand a quick escape; others ask you to watch carefully and work out what you are dealing with. Quiet exploration can become a chase in seconds.

Your way out might already be in your hand

A fork becomes a tool. A stepladder puts an unreachable passage within reach. A fuse recovered from a drain brings the lights back on. Look closely: ordinary objects can change what is possible.

Search your surroundings, collect useful objects, and equip the right item to interact with the world. Solve environmental puzzles, operate mechanisms, and open routes through connected rooms. Getting past a locked door is only the beginning you still have to find out what is behind it.

The house is only the beginning

Move from cramped rooms and industrial tunnels to towering chapel interiors and a forest beneath a blood-red sky. Sunlit places offer a startling change of pace, but familiar surroundings can become unsettling all over again.

An expressive cartoon boy stands against richly detailed environments and grotesque creatures. Strange toys, impossible architecture, and moments of uneasy calm give each new area its own character. Later trials introduce new ways to explore, survive, and confront the nightmare.

When running is no longer enough

Some threats follow you through the dark. Others stand between you and the only way forward. Face towering enemies in confrontations where movement, timing, and the right moment to strike matter.

Fight back with the tools and abilities you discover as the journey unfolds. Watch an enemy’s attacks, find your opening, and stay ready to move. From desperate escapes to supernatural battles, the nightmare keeps changing the terms of survival.

Keep the light close. Keep looking for a way out.
