About This Demo

Every legend starts in the forest.
This demo is the opening chapter of Desk Quest — an idle ARPG that lives in a thin, full-width strip right above your Windows taskbar. While you work, your first adventurer is born, fights, loots and grows.

What's in the demo

• The whole forest map, from the first step to the guardian at its end
  
• Your first life — a new adventurer with their own face and talents
  
• Gear that drops straight into your Codex, plus enhancing at the restored workshop
  
• Your first class promotion
  
• Your first egg — hatch a pet that walks and fights beside you
  
• Work Mode, the tray and offline rewards, just like the full game

After the guardian

Defeat the forest's guardian to reach the end of the demo. You can keep hunting in the forest as long as you like — the adventure just won't go farther until the full game.

Demo progress does not carry over to the full game.

Some in-game artwork (including item icons and illustrations), the store page art and trailer illustrations, the sound effects and trailer music, and parts of the in-game text and its translations into 29 languages were created with the help of generative AI tools, then selected, reviewed, and edited by the developer. All gameplay footage and screenshots on the store page are captured from the actual game.
