About This Demo

Begin your colony in the free Ant Clicker demo. Gather crumbs, recruit ants that produce automatically, and watch workers carry supplies through an underground nest that grows with your purchases.

Discover your first six castes

Recruit Foragers, Workers, Soldiers, Nurses, Tunnelers and Harvesters. Click or hold the colony—or hold Space—to gather. Reinvest your crumbs in producers and their ordinary upgrades, and catch Sugar Cubes for rewards.

The demo uses the full game's normal purchase costs and production rates. Its Journey guides you toward your first Harvester, with new rooms and residents appearing as your colony grows.

Keep growing at your own pace

There is no playtime limit. Reaching your first Harvester completes the demo journey, and you can keep gathering, upgrading and saving afterward.

Return to offline production after an absence longer than five minutes, with a base 50% efficiency before bonuses and a seven-day cap per absence. Adjustable music, sound and performance settings let you settle into your own pace. Options includes Save, Export and Import.

Carry your colony into the full game

Your demo saves separately. When you continue in the updated full game on the same Steam account, your demo colony can carry forward automatically if you do not already have a full-game colony. Existing full-game progress is protected.

If automatic transfer is not available, keep an Export Save code from the demo and use Import Save in the full game. Import only when you want to use that colony; it does not merge two colonies.

The full game adds four later castes, Colony Rebirth and permanent genetic upgrades, Nectar and four unlockable colony activities, seasonal discoveries, and the Great Queen with lasting levels and auras.

The demo lets you preview those full-game features. Their playable systems and later caste purchases require the full game.
