What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Epokborn is already playable across a very large progression path, from primitive survival through advanced technology and into its first playable galaxy. Because the game is extremely large and a full playthrough can take over 100 hours, Early Access will allow us to gather real player feedback on progression, balance, difficulty, performance, and long-term systems at a scale that is difficult to reproduce internally. We plan to use that feedback to refine the experience while continuing to expand the game toward 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Epokborn to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This may change depending on player feedback, balancing needs, performance improvements, and the scope of additional content and systems we decide to include before 1.0.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to significantly expand the space phase, adding more galaxies, regions, enemies, technologies, vehicles, progression systems, and late-game content. We also plan to continue improving balance, progression pacing, performance, user interface, and overall polish based on player feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the full progression from primitive survival through multiple technological eras and into space, including the first playable galaxy. The game is fully playable, but due to its large scale, some balance, progression, performance, and content pacing may continue to evolve during Early Access. Bugs and rough edges may also still be present and will be addressed through ongoing updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep Epokborn at a lower price during Early Access and may increase the price as major content, additional space systems, and further polish are added on the road to 1.0.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use player feedback throughout Early Access to improve progression, balance, difficulty, performance, usability, and long-term systems. We will monitor Steam discussions, reviews, bug reports, and gameplay feedback, and use that information to prioritize fixes and improvements. We also plan to share updates regularly and adjust the game based on recurring feedback from the community.”

About This Game

Epokborn: From Stone to the Stars is a survival action RPG where you begin with almost nothing and progress through entire eras of technology.

Gather primitive resources, build your first settlement, fight hostile factions, explore caves, rescue and recruit citizens, tame companions, and unlock new technologies as your world expands.

Your journey does not stop at swords and castles. Progress through increasingly advanced eras, including bronze and medieval warfare, industrialization, firearms, vehicles, modern combat, robotics, and eventually space, where your first playable galaxy is already available, forming the foundation for a much larger space experience throughout Early Access and beyond.

Each major era changes the way the game plays, introducing new environments, enemies, resources, equipment, transportation, buildings, and progression systems.

Build, fight, recruit, explore, automate, and evolve from stone tools to advanced technology and the stars.
