A pixel-art basketball idle game that grows from a single hoop on a street court to packed stadiums. You sink the first shots yourself, then the team you build takes over. Somewhere along the way the numbers get pretty ridiculous.

About This Game

Swish & Repeat is a small basketball idle game. It starts with a street court, one hoop and a few beat-up balls. Every click is a shot and every basket is a little cash. That cash goes into better balls and your first players.

Once the team is in place, the players start taking their own shots. Keep clicking along with them if you like, or lean back and watch. The team keeps working while the game is closed, and the cash is waiting when you come back.

On the court

Shots that keep finding the net build a streak, and once it runs long enough, you're on fire. Then there are the timeouts. Fast Break floods the court with balls, nothing misses during Hot Hand, and a Buzzer Beater sends up one giant ball worth a big chunk of income. New timeouts unlock over time, and the old ones grow into something stronger.

Every now and then something unexpected happens on the court. A gold ball shows up, or a dog runs off with the ball. You'll find the rest yourself. Be quick and there's cash in it, plus a cheer from the stands. The ad plane passing overhead is worth catching too.

The team

Like in real basketball, every position has its own player, each with a name and a jersey number. Once two players are good enough, they start finding each other on the court. The point guard throws the lob and the center finishes it with a dunk. A player who arrives as a Rookie can climb all the way to Legend with the right investment. Sponsors drop by with short deals and pay well if you hit their target in time.

Seasons and the Playbook

When a season ends, the cash and the roster reset, but the trophies stay. Trophies go into the Playbook, a big skill tree under a layer of fog that opens up as you play. Somewhere between the nodes that power up your shots and your team, there's a coach waiting. The shopping, the timeouts, even ending the season can be left to the coach. Every one of those jobs can be switched off, and resetting the tree is free.

From the street to the stadium

As the seasons go by, the team moves from the street to the park, the school yard, the beach and a rooftop, and from there into the stadiums. The school hoop won't sit still, and the one in the park has a chain net. Money spent on the floor, the scoreboard and the stands doesn't vanish when a season ends. Play well and the stands fill up. Unlocked floors and jerseys wait in the Style tab, ready to swap whenever you feel like it.

The day keeps rolling on while you play. My favorite is the street court at sunset, but night games under the floodlights aren't bad either.
