You are a stick figure on an unfinished page, abandoned mid-stroke. Draw bridges, ropes, springs and mirrors with the ink the artist left behind — every line obeys real physics. Slip past crossed-out beasts across fading paper. Ink runs out. In the end, you will have to erase part of yourself.

About This Game

Every line you draw will fall.

A sketchbook, closed for a long time. On its last page the artist drew a stick figure, then set the pen down halfway through. The ink at the edges of the page is starting to fade and flake away. You wake up to find you are the only unfinished thing on the page, with the artist's leftover ink scattered around you. At the far end of the paper, a small warm light has never gone out.

Ink Left is a minimalist black-and-white physics puzzle game about drawing lines. Put the pen down with your mouse: what you draw has weight, it tips over, it swings, it can be eaten. Use it to cross the gaps and blanks the artist left behind, and reach that light.

✒️ SEVEN LINES, ONE BLANK PAGE

━ Line — Anchored at both ends, it is a bridge. Anchored at one end, it falls around where you started the stroke: a drawbridge, a seesaw, a wall.

〰️ Spring — Each bounce goes higher than the last. Drop onto it from high enough and it is full in one go.

🪢 Rope — Hang it from a beam, swing, and let go at the top.

☁️ Float — Drifts upward the moment you finish, and stops as a platform when it hits something. Faded paper cannot hold it up.

⚓ Weight — Heavy. Pin a seesaw, slam it to launch yourself, hold a Float down, block a charging wolf.

┄ Phase — You pass through it from below and stand on it from above. Wolves cannot see it. Fire goes straight through it.

🗡️ Weapon — Draw a blade and hold it. No hands, no blade.

💧 INK IS NOT MONEY. INK IS THE ROAD.

Erase a line you drew and every drop comes back — trying things is free, so try. Ink is only truly lost in four ways: lines you leave behind when you move on, ink thorns, beasts, and water. Wet ink in the world, as black as your own, can be erased and taken; grey printed ink cannot. A slain beast melts into a pool of ink you can take too.

Still not enough? Erase yourself. Hold right-click on your own arm or leg and turn it back into ink. One hand fewer, shorter strokes. One leg fewer, lower jumps.

🐺 BEASTS FROM THE DISCARDED DRAFTS

Sketches the artist started and crossed out have come alive deep in the page. Like you, they are made of ink. Like you, they are afraid of being erased.

🐺 Ink Wolf — Hates ink. Draw anything in its territory and it will leave you to ram that line first.

🐉 Ink Dragon — Spits scorched ink from the sky. Three shots burn through a wall. Its fire hurts wolves too.

🦈 Ink Shark — Shows only a dorsal fin, and eats the bridges you lay on the water, bite by bite.

All three can be killed. And a dragon's fire can be borrowed to burn a wolf.

📖 FOUR SKETCHBOOKS, 22 PAGES

📗 First Stroke — Learn the lines one at a time: bounce, swing, lever and scale, rise and sink, solid and phase.

📕 Discarded Drafts — Wolf, the pack, dragon, the fire crossing, shark, shark and bridge — then the beasts in pairs.

📘 Ink Left — Two pages of the Faded Realm and the Beast Corridor. Fewer and fewer places will take your pen.

📙 Light and Sky — Every line is a mirror; bend the light into the wicks. Float high enough and you will see the road in the sky — and the dragon that flies it.

📄 The Last Page — The final stroke. What will you draw it with?

Every page has an idea that belongs to it alone, and the terrain shuts down one-trick solutions. There are no solution hints, only control hints. Stuck? Think with a different line.

🍃 A QUIET PAGE

🎨 Black-and-white lines and a lot of white space. Only two colors in the whole game: the ink, and the light at the end. The further you turn, the less warmth is left.

🔊 The pen scratches and changes pitch with your stroke speed; a pentatonic glockenspiel thins out and drops lower with the mood of each page. All visuals and sound are generated procedurally in code.

💾 Checkpoints are dog-eared corners. Touching one, giving up a limb, or killing a beast saves the game — quit any time without losing progress.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI was used as a development assistant on Ink Left: primarily to help write and review the game's source code, to help work through level design, and to help draft and localize in-game text (Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German). All of that output was reviewed and edited by the developer.

Everything you see and hear — the lines, the paper texture, particles, the characters, sound effects and music — is generated procedurally by the game's own code and offline audio synthesis scripts; the store images are likewise drawn by a procedural drawing script. The project uses no AI-generated images, textures, animation or voice acting.

The game does not use generative AI while you play. No player data is sent anywhere.
