About This Game

End My Dry Spell

Lorfeld is a small wine town on the Rhine gorge—and this summer, the river has dropped to a level nobody living has seen. Twenty-three barges, a silent cruise ship, and a whole floating neighbourhood are stuck in one cramped winter harbour while Till Hagedorn, the harbour master, keeps chalking the morning gauge reading like his grandfather did. He tells everyone it’ll rain by Friday. He’s been saying it for six weeks.

Then three arrivals turn routine into reckoning: Marijke Zuidema, a Dutch barge skipper who has hated Till since the night he grounded her family’s boat fourteen years ago; Svenja Haas, a regional weather presenter whose live broadcasts turn him into a local mascot with consequences; and Nele Petersen, a federal hydrologist sent to replace his chalk board with an automatic gauge—and to prove, in public, whose number is true. Choose who you stand beside, what you’re willing to pay when you’re wrong, and who stays when the harbour finally starts moving again.

Meet the Cast

Svenja Haas — “The Weather Presenter”

For six years, Svenja has been the bright, recognisable face of the regional evening forecast—trained for real meteorology, but rarely allowed to use it. When she’s sent to Lorfeld for live segments, Till becomes her perfect story: local colour, a chalk board, and a man the region can point at. Their romance is playful and fast, built on attention and honesty under a camera lens—until one on-air promise proves that “good television” still has real victims.

Marijke Zuidema — “The Skipper”

A loud, formidable Dutch barge owner with hands built for work and patience worn thin, Marijke arrives in the one harbour she would never have chosen. Till is the helmsman who damaged her family’s life and then sent a card as if it could balance the ledger; she’s never let him forget it, and she’s not interested in forgiveness as a performance. Her route is a hostile, electric reunion where affection comes as blunt truth, hard labour, and tests she never announces.

Nele Petersen — “The Hydrologist”

Twenty-seven, precise, and disarmingly direct, Nele comes from the flat north coast with an institute van, a folding rule, and three tomato plants she refuses to abandon. She likes Till immediately—and says so—then quietly challenges the one thing he believes makes him irreplaceable: his eye, his gauge, his inherited authority. Her route is a warm connection under public scrutiny, where belonging must be earned in a town that doesn’t like being measured by strangers.

Key Features

  • Three distinct romance routes, one decisive choice: A single early decision branches into fully different story arcs, conflicts, and endings—each built around a unique crisis question and emotional “price.”
  • A grounded, working-river setting: Manage daily harbour life in a drought-struck Rhine town—families aboard barges, stalled commerce, local pressure, and the quiet intimacy of small routines under strain.
  • Romance shaped by character, not clichés: Hostile reunion, professional entanglement, and outsider intimacy—three relationships with different voices, pacing, and turning points.
  • Consequences that land on the page: Promises made publicly can cost money, trust, tradition, or belonging—and the story follows through without villains or easy outs.
  • Atmosphere-first storytelling: A warm, funny, sometimes tense visual novel that keeps the river’s crisis literal and ever-present—through objects, events, and the numbers everyone lives by.

Adult Content

End My Dry Spell is an Adult Romance Visual Novel featuring explicit sexual content between consenting adults. Player discretion is advised.
