About This Game

Your dad went down into the basement to find something and he hasn't come back.

Will you go after him?

My Basement is Hungry is practically an endless Psychological Horror experience. Once you enter the basement, there is no turning back until you reach the end and find your father. The only problem is, you have no idea where the end truly is. You will investigate various notes, events, and try to solve the mystery of what this world actually is. NO PLAYTHROUGH IS EVER THE SAME.

This game has dynamic events intended to mess with the players perception. No playthrough is ever the same.

The VR version of this game is completely playable and can be used to complete the game. Further updates incoming to add support to more controller inputs because I don't own every headset.

Warning: This game has intense content designed to unnerve and scare players. It contains severe flashing lights and very loud sounds. If you feel any physical health symptoms or a mental health episode incoming, stop playing immediately and seek help.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Game contains severe flashing lights, loud distorted audio, phobia triggers, sudden jump scares, pixelated gore, body horror and depictions of self-harm. Depictions of self-harm include pulling at veins in the players wrist as a form of body horror and self-hanging. Some events also produce sexually suggestive interactions such as figures shaped like women behind a glass window but nothing is explicitly shown and sexual assault never occurs and is not part of the game story in any way. All the gore and any suggestions of other forms of harm are pixelated, blurred, and are technically not happening to humans, but rather things that look like humans.
