About This Game

Liminaut is a pixel-art post-apocalyptic survival and base-building game for solo or co-op play with up to 8 players. In a rain-soaked, spore-ridden world, scavenge supplies, fight zombies, hold off the damp and cold, build a home, recruit survivors and grow a safe, warm, thriving refuge together.

Explore and Survive

Every new save generates a different world map. Explore towns, forests, rivers, swamps and coastlines for food, tools and building materials. When you run into zombies, let your gear and the terrain decide: go around them, lure them away or fight them head-on.

Rain, fog and the day-night cycle affect how far you can see and how you move. Keep an eye on hunger, thirst, body temperature, injuries and infection, and resupply, treat your wounds and rest before it's too late. Damp also makes food spoil and metal rust faster, so whatever you bring back has to be stored properly.

Your character only has one life. After death, create a new character and return to the same world to keep running the home you left behind.

Build a Home

Put up walls, lay floors, fit doors and windows, seal the roof and build the house you need. Structure and materials affect indoor temperature, humidity and air quality, so you'll need to think about warmth, damp-proofing and ventilation.

Light fires to keep warm, lay out water and power networks, grow crops, and craft tools and equipment. Unlock new recipes through manuals, salvaging, research or blueprints, build up and share knowledge over time, and turn the materials you bring back into production machines and all kinds of furniture.

Survivor Community

Every survivor has their own personality, specialties and needs, and gets better at their work with practice. Food, better living quarters and care for the sick and injured all affect their mood, willingness to work and efficiency.

Work out who does what with your survivors. Meet their everyday needs and they'll help with farming, cooking, crafting, building or caring for the wounded, keeping the refuge running together.

Survive Together

All content can be played solo, or with up to 7 friends online or over LAN. Head out to scavenge, stay behind to build, haul supplies or tend the wounded, and split the work however the situation calls for.

The game contains pixel-art/cartoon-style combat, character death, zombies and blood or bleeding in non-realistic colors such as green or purple. Tobacco and alcohol appear as usable consumables, without smoking or drinking animations.
