What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to create a living 1920s criminal underworld that evolves not only through our own vision, but also through the decisions, experiences, and feedback of our players. We have many systems, mechanics, and content ideas that we would like to bring to the game, but as a small team, our available resources mean that we need to develop and prioritize them gradually.
Early Access gives us the opportunity to improve and expand the systems already in the game while continuing to introduce new features as development progresses. Most importantly, it allows us to understand how players interact with the game and focus our resources on the improvements and additions that will have the greatest impact on the overall experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have not set a specific end date for Early Access. We plan to continue developing the game until we are satisfied with both the quality of the experience and the direction it takes together with our community.
The length of Early Access may depend on player feedback, new needs that arise during development, and the scope of the systems we want to add. Rather than trying to meet a fixed deadline, our priority is to bring the game to a more polished, complete, and satisfying state.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, we plan to use player feedback to balance and improve existing systems and make the criminal underworld more dynamic and interactive.
We also want to introduce more content that strengthens the atmosphere and everyday life of the 1920s. This may include period-appropriate minigames and side activities, such as horse-racing bets and other activities designed to make the city feel more alive.
We also aim to expand and refine systems such as the economy, territory control, businesses, characters, AI, and other core gameplay mechanics based on player experiences and feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are working to bring the current version to a point where players can clearly understand the type of experience we want to create and see the foundation of the project's overall vision.
While the core gameplay systems and main structure of the game will be present, the Early Access version should not be considered a finished product. Some systems may still be limited, balance may change, and existing content may be expanded significantly throughout development.
We see Early Access as a starting point where players can experience the foundation of the game, follow its development, and help shape its future through their feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Our final pricing policy for Early Access and the full release has not yet been finalized. We plan to evaluate pricing based on the progress of development, the amount of content available, and the overall scope of the final version.
However, it is important to us to recognize the players who support the project during Early Access. We intend to provide certain benefits or advantages to players who join us during this stage, with further details to be announced as development progresses.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of the development process. We plan to actively follow discussions, suggestions, bug reports, and player experiences through Steam and our other community channels.
We will pay particular attention to feedback regarding gameplay balance, combat, economy, AI, progression, territory management, businesses, and overall usability. Player feedback will help us understand which systems work well, which mechanics need further development, and which parts of the game would benefit from greater depth.
While we will continue to follow the core vision of the game, we want the community to play an active role in helping us determine development priorities throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Enter New York, 1920: a city pulsing with ambition, corruption, and deadly rivalries.
In Silent Authority: Blood & Bourbon, every street is a prize, every deal a risk, and every ally a potential traitor. From the bustling docks of Brooklyn to the velvet-lit jazz clubs of Harlem, the city is a living organism, breathing, changing, and waiting to be claimed.

You start with nothing but ambition. Recruit loyal enforcers, seize rackets from the shadows, and weave your influence through the city’s underbelly. Every move shapes your legend, drawing the eyes of rival kingpins, crooked politicians, and watchful lawmen. In this world, power isn’t earned, it’s taken, one brutal step at a time.

Blending ruthless empire-building, cinematic real-time combat, and cutthroat underworld politics, Silent Authority delivers a living, breathing city where no two crime dynasties rise the same way. Territories are taken and lost in blood, alliances forged in smoke-filled backrooms and broken in gunfire, and your road to power will be paved with bribes, bullets, and spilled bourbon.

Real-Time Top-Down Combat
Lead your crew of up to 10 members in brutal shootouts. Use the cover system, give tactical commands to your men and outgun rival gangs with an authentic 1920s arsenal: Tommy guns, sawed-off shotguns, revolvers, scoped rifles, Molotovs and dynamite.

14 Rival Families
Italian, Irish, American, African-American and Chinese crime families fight for control of the city, each with its own personality and agenda.

Diplomacy, Alliances and Betrayal
Declare war, negotiate peace terms, form alliances or break them. Every conversation counts: friendly, respectful or threatening words shift your relations with rival families, from Allied all the way to open War.

Build Your Crew
Recruit crew members with unique specializations: Enforcer, Driver, Gunman, Fixer, Lookout and Safecracker.

Grow Your Soldiers
Troops gain experience in combat and rise through five ranks unique to their culture, from street-level recruits to feared veterans.

Front Businesses
Take over 17 types of businesses, from butchers and barbers to bars, hotels and gun shops. Upgrade each through 10 levels and trade goods to keep your vault growing.

Bootlegging
Run alcohol workshops and supply bars, restaurants, hotels and wholesalers through smuggling routes, but beware of police raids and rival interference.

Crime and the Law
Rising crime draws police attention. Push too hard and raids will follow.

Create Your Boss
Choose your origin, customize your appearance in detail and distribute points across six attributes: Strength, Reflexes, Intelligence, Endurance, Charisma and Cunning. More than 100 perks shape how your boss fights, negotiates and does business.

A Living City
Day and night cycles and changing seasons bring 1920s New York to life.
