“Early Access allows me to continue to work on the game while getting the support I need from the GTTOD community!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan on releasing GTTOD by the end of 2019, however I have learned that things usually don't go as smoothly as they seem on paper. The goal is the end of 2019, but if GTTOD requires more development time then I will expand into 2020.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version will differ from the Early Access version in many ways. More levels for the main mode, better generation in Quick Play, more modes overall, and more community created content from the Level Editor.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now there is an Arena mode, a endless roguelite mode called "Quick Play", a full length level from the Overhaul mode, a list of unlockable starting equipment and weapons that alter gameplay and provide unique challenges, and a fully featured level editor that allows anyone to make their own maps and modes and share them with their friends!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes! In early access the price will be cheaper than on full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have my own subreddit and Discord server that I am always in and participating in. There are even links to these places in the pause menu! You can always come there and chat with me when you need help or have suggestions!”

GTTOD - Workshop Update progress

Yo everyone! Sorry for the wait...again.

So in case you haven't heard, I'm currently in the process of moving to my new apartment, so that has slowed me down a good amount. BUT that doesn't mean this upcoming update isn't just as spicy.

Although this update is mostly level editor and workshop themed, it hasn't stopped me from delving into some other areas that I have been wanting to work on for a while now. I have done a lot of work on the weapons-side of things lately.

Things like:

  • New weapons and new weapon fire modes
  • New Grab A Gun functionality
  • Ammo pools and ammo pickups
  • A weapon wheel meant for Overhaul
  • Weapon balancing, and removing some of the more useless weapons
  • Animation update and improvements

I hope you are all doing well, and I hope everyone enjoys this new update know...finish it...

About This Game

Get To The Orange Door, an intense and adrenaline pumping parkour platforming First Person Shooter based around the neon-and-chrome retrofuturist aesthetic of the 80's. With a mix of classic and modern first person shooter mechanics, wall run, slide, clamber, and dash around each level at supersonic speeds as you blow through enemies using unique weaponry and fluid movement mechanics.

Use a varying range of weaponry, from a sword that can deflect bullets all the way to two full auto extended magazine machine pistols that shoot heat seeking rounds. Vending machines and boxes scattered and hidden around each level will help you arm up and prepare for combat.

  • Fast paced movement focused FPS; a modern take on classic game mechanics
  • Multiple modes to play and master
  • Over 20 unique weapons, all with alternative fire modes
  • Partially generated levels and enemies; no single playthrough plays the same
  • A rad soundtrack

Get To The Orange Door is currently in HEAVY development, and new changes are being added every day! The current roadmap is only a small portion of what I plan to add to the game, but with the nature of the game being very experimental, who knows what could happen.
