The Holy Office burned the condemned at dawn, in the circle of old stones. At dusk, the Dolorosa in the fountain wept light, and the condemned woke among the ashes of their own pyres. Unarmed and without memory, they descend into the crypt after the Inquisitor who sent them to the stake.

Inquisitio is a real-time action roguelike set in a world of secret prisons, ruined faith and things that should have stayed buried. Aim your strikes, learn each weapon's reach and find your way through changing rooms and battles. Play solo or with up to three friends online.

Six condemned, six accusations

• Soldier, for sacrilege: holds the front line and charges shoulder-first.
  
• Hunter, for a pact with the devil: charged shots, a fan of arrows and the perfect shot that pierces through.
  
• Blasphemer, for blasphemy: iron fists, grabs and fury.
  
• Healer, for witchcraft: her herbs heal her own and sicken her enemies.
  
• Rogue, for relic theft: daggers, bleeding and a step through the shadows.
  
• Occultist, for necromancy: curses that weaken enemies and harvest the life of the dead.

A cursed arsenal

Find swords, bows, staves, chain weapons and relics with their own uses and histories. Finish fallen enemies with brutal executions. Seek out twelve forbidden objects, each hidden behind its own secret, trial or bargain.

From the Prisons to the Cathedral

Explore six regions: the Prisons, the Sewers of Lament, the Floating Gardens, the Plant Kingdom, the Ruined City of Casíope and the Cathedral of the Demonic Cult. Meet their people, uncover what happened to them and face the creatures that hold each place in their grip, from the Green Hunger to the Crimson Pontiff.

In company

Two to four players can descend together through Steam. Each player has their own loot, while the denarii belong to the party. Bring different classes, cover one another and raise the fallen before it is too late.

What is known

The Codex fills with the creatures, places, weapons and names you discover. What you learn carries over from run to run. A gravedigger's notebook becomes a record of things the Holy Office would rather leave unwritten.
