About This Demo

Louisiana, around 1850. Deep in the bayou, something has woken up. The dead come out of the cypress trees, day and night, and all that stands in their way is an old totem.

MALMORT is a tower defense you play in first person. Build over the swamp, trap everything, then pick up your weapon and finish the job yourself.

Four heroes

• The Gunner: a double harpoon gun and fire grenades

• Sister B: holy water and a burning staff that heals her allies

• The Blowgunner: poison and sleep darts

• The Crossbowman: rallies the turrets, and later carries two crossbows at once

Traps and turrets

• Presses, pendulum blades, spiked rollers, barbed wire, trapdoors and barricades

• Oil showers: soak them, then set them on fire

• Crossbow, harpoon, flamethrower and electric coil sentries

• Every trap has its own upgrade tree

The bayou

• Build platforms, stairs and ladders on stilts over the water

• Reclaim old ruined structures and link them to your base

• Weather and time of day change every run: rain, storms, fog, wildfire ash, fireflies
