What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Primal Carnage: Onslaught is an early product that we want to bring to market to get feedback from you, the player. We plan on introducing a range of new scenarios, environments and mechanics to explore what VR is truly capable of.

We also plan on using Primal Carnage: Onslaught to explore and experiment with new technologies, such as haptic feedback, alternative controllers, and even VR technologies we haven't imagined yet. We feel like we are barely scratching the surface of what VR is capable of, and we want Primal Carnage: Onslaught to be a product that can explore the depth and breadth of what VR can offer.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for the game to be in Early Access for around 3 months. We will continue to expand the project and add new features after the Early Access release - leaving Early Access is just the beginning for Primal Carnage: Onslaught!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Primal Carnage: Onslaught will contain a broader range of scenarios, weapons and mechanics. At its core, the game will be a single-player VR experience, starting with wave-based survival mechanics. However we plan on potentially expanding into some more complex scenarios and mechanics, such as protecting fellow AI who are supporting you in your goals, and even potentially co-op experiences. Some of this content will be made available for free for Early Access adopters, and some may be paid DLC.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game currently features 2 maps, combative dinosaur AI with a range of enemy types, fully interactive weapon mechanics and Steam integration with achievements & leaderboards.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will remain the same after Early Access, however future content may be released as paid DLC.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

““We plan on being transparent with our development processes through our social media channels, Steam forums and official Primal Carnage channels. We love the feedback from players for how they think the game can improve, what sort of features we can explore and the types of new mechanics we can introduce in VR. We're making this game for you, so please let us know your thoughts!””
