Why Early Access?

“We are releasing Hearthfall Lodge in Early Access because its story is still in active development. The current build contains a complete first arc of 16 chapters that ends on an open note, at the moment Leo must decide whether to sign on for another season, rather than at the conclusion of the larger story. We want to shape the continuation together with players instead of deciding every remaining relationship and story beat in isolation.

Player feedback will help us decide how much focus the next part gives to Ingrid, Yuna, and Camille, which lodge and village storylines deserve more depth, and how the three relationships should develop alongside one another.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Hearthfall Lodge to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 to 6 months.

This is an estimate rather than a fixed deadline. The schedule may change depending on community feedback and the amount of new story, artwork, and relationship content developed for the full version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to continue beyond the open ending of Chapter 16 with additional story chapters. We intend to add new events at the lodge and in the village, further relationship development for Ingrid, Yuna, and Camille, and additional illustrated and animated story and gallery content.

The exact balance and order of this material is not final. Feedback on favorite characters, unresolved story threads, pacing, and the moments players most want to see will influence which parts receive the most development before the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains the first playable story arc: 16 chapters following Leo's arrival at Hearthfall Lodge, the restoration of the old bathhouse, and the beginning of his relationships with Ingrid, Yuna, and Camille. It includes 12 story-driven adult scenes with animated sequences and gallery replays, plus standard visual-novel features such as save, load, rollback, and skip.

The build ends as the lodge faces its next season. The chapters that continue this situation, deepen the three relationships, and carry the story to its full conclusion have not yet been added.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not currently plan to change the price during or after Early Access.

Hearthfall Lodge is intended to remain at the same base price for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will use Steam Discussions and update posts to ask for feedback after each content update. Players will be invited to share which of the three relationships needs more development, which unresolved lodge and village storylines are most interesting, the balance between story and intimate content, and the pacing of new chapters.

We will use recurring themes in that feedback to choose the focus and order of upcoming chapters and scenes. Technical reports will also be tracked alongside this content-focused feedback.”
