Pirates' Spat: Raise The Colours is a platformer for 1 to 4 pirates sharing a single screen. Explore extraordinary locations inspired by pirate lore, face their dangers, and uncover their secrets to unlock powerful relics.

Your crew must work together to progress… but there’s nothing stopping you from eyeing your crewmates’ loot. Fill your chests, raise the black flag, and make it back to the boat together!

Two phases, rounds lasting just a few minutes

The Harvest: fill your chests. Gather gold, dodge or stomp the local wildlife, and bury your loot in your own chest. Only buried gold counts: at the end of the round, anything you’re still carrying is lost, whether you win or lose.

The Spat: resist temptation… or don’t. The flag turns black: time to steal your crewmates’ gold! But to progress, you’ll also need to join forces, solve the location’s puzzle, and unlock its relic. It’s up to you to divide your time between teamwork and dirty tricks.

Places brimming with secrets

Every location holds a relic and a unique challenge to unlock it. Relight ten ghostly lanterns before they go out, get a kraken to drink six swigs of rum, or light up Skull Island’s eye sockets with your torches…

Unlock the relic and complete the round to gain its permanent power: a double jump, an extra heart, a faster-firing pistol, reinforced leather… Each power can be reassigned to another pirate in the crew at any time.

A challenge for every crew

Choose from three difficulty modes at the start of your game:

• Swabbie: no damage between pirates, so you can focus on teamwork.
• Freebooter: the standard experience, mixing cooperation and squabbling.
• Buccaneer: enemy reinforcements and no power-ups, for crews who love a challenge.

Make your pirate your own

Choose each pirate’s name, appearance, and bandana colour. In every location, aim for bronze, silver, and gold medals, and the highest score out of 100.

Once the adventure is complete, crews are ranked by gold, then by completion time. Every coin counts… and so does every detour!

The whole crew on one screen

Share a keyboard, use a separate keyboard for each player, or play with controllers: mix and match setups for up to four pirates. You can also play with friends remotely through Steam Remote Play Together: one player hosts, and their guests join without needing to own the game.
