One yard, one night, twelve waves of the dead. Every running generator steadies your aim — and its roar pulls the horde to that wall. Build, hire and draft between waves, then catch the dawn convoy… or stay one more wave for a bigger payout.

About This Game

Light is your aim. Noise is their target.

KILLWATT is a third-person roguelite about holding a fenced yard through one long night. Each side of the yard has its own generator feeding a wall of floodlights: while your side is lit, your shots land tighter and your crew hits harder. But a running engine is loud — and the dead walk toward the noise.

Shut a motor down by hand and that side goes dark, but the horde swings to another corridor. One switch, two consequences. Every wave is a decision, not just a firefight.

The wall is a contract

While the barricade stands, nothing gets through — no claws, no bullets, in either direction. Once it's breached, the rules flip: everything pours into the yard, and you become the brightest target in it. Patch the breach with scrap, or fight in the open.

35 seconds between waves

  • Draft one of three cards: guns, perks, special ammo, crew contracts.
  • Build and upgrade — more than twenty structures for the yard's plots.
  • Hire a crew of gunners, plus a Lamplighter who blinds the dead with a searchlight.
  • Let survivors in — a mechanic, a medic, a cook… but one of them may be infected.
  • Slip out of the gate for a quick supply run. While the gate is open, so is your perimeter.

Bosses that break the rhythm

Every boss has a window of weakness, and it always opens when the boss is most dangerous. Tear the plate off the Brute's chest, punish the Wretch right after it spawns its brood, pop the sack on the Bloat Mother's back — read the tell, take the window.

Leave at dawn — or get greedy

After the twelfth wave, a convoy rolls up to the west gate. Load up under fire with your crew and every survivor you took in — or wave it off and hold one more wave. Each extra wave hits harder, and each one pays more.

One run is one night. The war is longer.

  • 6 sectors with their own rules: a third gate to watch, no scouting at all, a boss every three waves.
  • 8 stacking threat levels, all the way to a south wall that starts the night breached.
  • 9 night modifiers — storms, dead calm, a clear moon, saboteurs.
  • 21 enemy types, including raiders who shoot through the gaps and three bosses.
  • A workshop upgrade tree, a bestiary, a run journal and trophies.
  • Photo mode and fully rebindable controls.
