Why Early Access?

“Desktop Maidens is currently in Early Access. The existing content, audio, visual effects, artwork, and game systems will continue to be expanded and improved through future updates.
At launch, the game will support more than 30 interface languages. Chinese is the primary language receiving careful review. Other languages currently use AI-assisted translation, so some text may sound unnatural, be incomplete, or contain display issues.
We’ll continue refining the translations based on player feedback. If you notice any translation issues in the game, please let us know and help us improve.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the Early Access period to last approximately 3 to 6 months. If development and testing go smoothly, we are aiming for a full release in January 2027. If we need more time to complete content, fix issues, or make adjustments, the release may be delayed until around March 2027. We will update our timeline based on development progress and share updates through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to gradually expand the roster of collectible characters. Compared with the Early Access version, we expect the full release to feature more than 30 different characters, along with additional weapons, enemies, maps, and story content. We also plan to continue improving the interface, balance, visuals and effects, and translation quality across languages based on player feedback during Early Access. The actual content and development order may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core desktop idle gameplay is already complete: adventurers can automatically embark on expeditions, battle enemies, and collect resources while on your desktop. Players can develop characters, manage and equip gear, build a party, progress through map stages, and challenge the endless Abyss.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently have no plans to increase the game’s price when Early Access ends and the full version launches.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will stay connected with players through the Steam Community, Discord, and QQ communities to collect bug reports, balance suggestions, and feedback on characters and gameplay.
The development team will regularly share updates and development progress, then adjust priorities based on player feedback to continually improve the Desktop Maidens experience.”
