About This Game

It's Halloween. Lets go trick-or-treating.

Knock on doors and explore hundreds of houses across different procedurally generated streets. Normal houses are safe. Chance houses you might get a trick or a treat. Avoid Haunted houses. Search houses for loot, fill the wagon, drag it back to Mummy's, and dump it in the Candy Bank Cauldron.

Candy you are carrying is worth nothing. Candy you have banked is worth everything. The KPI climbs relentlessly; it does not care how well your night was going. Buy upgrades and weapons to help your chances. Decide on your tactics: Split up and you cover more doors but nobody sees what happens to you. Dying means losing precious candy.

Something is hunting the street

To make matters worse there are 4 candy hungry monsters that are hunting the streets.

Hunters have different senses. Sprinting, shouting, shining a torch and slamming doors all make you the most interesting person on the street. The quieter you are, the worse the guess the hunter is given about where you might be. Crouch in a dark room maybe you wont be seen.

Usually it is one of them. Sometimes it is two. Very rarely it is all four at once, and that is a story you will be telling for a while.

They can hear you.

Voice is proximity-based: you hear the people near you, and you lose them as they walk away. Shouting down a street to find someone works, and it is also how you tell a hunter exactly where you are. There is a mute key. It hides you from your friends. It does not hide you from anything else.

Spend those tasty treats

A mummy runs a totally legit / not black-market candy stall. He sells flashlights, shield, a bat, guns, a flare gun, a UV lamp and an RC remote, plus upgrades to your wagon, your vacuum and your legs. He also sells black magic abilities that are very powerful if you learn how to use them correctly. Prioritize the right items  to increase your odds of survival.
