About This Game

The old keep fell silent long ago. Now its halls are full again, and every archer who climbs its steps finds their fate there.

An Archers Fate is a fast top-down archery arena game in crisp pixel art. Every shot is a timing test: release inside the perfect window for a powerful, free arrow. Rushed or overheld shots are weaker and cost energy, the same energy you need to dash through attacks.

Grunts charge you down, crossbowmen shoot from behind cover and shieldbearers block everything from the front. Horned chargers mark a lane and rush down it: step aside, and if one slams into a wall he's dazed and wide open. Hooded hexers hang back and ward an ally so it shrugs off your arrows, until you hit the hexer himself.

Later waves bring elites (Armored, Swift and Volatile), packs that charge as one, flankers that circle round to your back and reserves that wait at the edge until the front line thins out. Some waves come with a twist: a Horde of weak grunts, a gold Bounty worth a fortune, a Siege of crossbows behind shields, or a Blackout where your lantern is all the light you have.

The Iron Warden waits on wave ten: sweeping cleaves, leaping slams with shockwaves, crossbow volleys and charges across the arena, all telegraphed and deadlier each phase. Break his poise with perfect shots to stun him and open him up.

The Hollow Huntsman is a rival archer: he keeps his distance, lines up heavy aimed shots, rains arrows onto marked ground and dodge-rolls away the moment you draw on him, leaving spike traps behind.

Beat the Warden and the gate he guarded opens. The waves keep coming in endless mode, the two bosses take turns every ten waves, and every boss you bring down moves the fight to another arena.

  • Courtyard: a wide paved castle yard under the trees.

  • Ruins: a long overgrown hall with fallen corners and heaps of rubble for cover.

  • Crypt: a dark torch-lit vault in the shape of a cross, with dart traps in the walls.

  • Flooded Cistern: sewer pipes blast jets of water that stun and shove whoever they catch, and pools slow anyone wading through.

  • Forge: lines of floor vents flare one after another, so the fire runs down the line.

Traps hit enemies as hard as they hit you. Lure a pack over the spikes, catch them knee-deep as the water comes, or shoot a brazier and watch it blow.

After each wave, pick one of three upgrades from 21, from Split Shot and Ricochet to Frost Tips, Vampiric Draw and Blade Dash. Rare upgrades can turn a run around, synergies combine two upgrades you already own (Split Shot and Ricochet become a Storm of Arrows), and curses offer huge power at a real price.

Chain perfect hits to fill your combo gauge, then unleash a piercing special shot that tears through everything in its path.

Beat the Iron Warden to unlock Heat: stack up to eight handicaps, and every one adds +25% to your score. Swifter foes, scarce healing, elite surges, heavier blows, fewer upgrade choices and traps that come round sooner.

  • Perfect-timing archery with a dash that goes through attacks

  • Five enemy types, three elite modifiers, a mini-boss and two multi-phase bosses

  • Five arenas with spike traps, dart traps, water jets, fire vents and exploding braziers
