About This Demo

Feed a cold proto-mass and watch it ignite.

Stellar Forge Demo is the free, standalone first stretch of Stellar Forge: an offline cosmic forge sim built around one verb, feed. A dark proto-mass sits at the centre of the screen; stream in hydrogen, helium, carbon, nitrogen or oxygen - five of the full game's elements - and watch its mass and heat climb the forge's size ladder toward its first ignition. The IGNITE button appears once a body reaches 510,000 mass, and the lightest body lights at 600,000; the demo lets a proto-mass grow all the way to its 2,000,000-mass cap before feeding stops, so there is real room to push past that first spark and see what a heavier mix produces.

Two bodies, one forge at a time.

The demo's roster holds two bodies. Grow one, send it to battle, or close it and start again - there is no re-forging an existing body and no mixing two of your own, both full-game growth paths.

A first taste of the adventure.

Send a body on the adventure and it falls in from the Oort cloud toward the Sun, about 80 minutes of real time, picking up matter and discovering real probes - Pioneer, Cassini, Juno, New Horizons - along the way, before the route reaches Jupiter and stops at a FULL GAME tile.

Fight for what you don't have yet.

The arena runs two daily challenger cards (the full game runs three), matched against the lower of your own power and a demo ceiling, so a win still pays out matter, elements and sometimes an ability. The weekly ladder - boards, rewards, seasons - stays locked behind a FULL GAME chip, and no god is ever granted in the demo: all seventy-seven stay silhouettes in the codex.

The other 23 elements are shown, never hidden.

The element table keeps its full shape: the twenty-three elements outside the demo's five render as dark FULL GAME tiles with no name, symbol, cost or recipe, so you can see the shape of what the full game adds without the demo pretending it isn't there.

Built to be left alone, for two days.

The forge keeps growing for the same 48-hour idle window as the full game, and SP keeps arriving after that; the third and fourth idle-growth tiers the full game can buy with SP stay locked.

The same engine, the same sound.

An original theme opens the demo, and music and discovery fanfares play the same way they do in Stellar Forge. Every battle runs the same deterministic physics sim as the full game - same body, same opponent, same seed, same fight, every time.
