About This Game

YOU CAN'T SAVE EVERYTHING.

The surface has fallen. What remains of humanity struggles to survive another day in shelters deep beneath the ruins.

But being underground doesn't mean you're safe.

Water is running out. Machines are wearing down. Supplies are disappearing. Your crew is exhausted. And somewhere above, an unpredictable world holds the things you desperately need.

Under the Rust is a post-apocalyptic survival management and strategy game about keeping an underground shelter operational, protecting its people, and living with the consequences of your decisions.

KEEP THE BUNKER ALIVE

Water, power, oxygen, food, and fuel are all connected. Saving one system may put another under pressure.

Monitor your facilities, organize repairs, manage power distribution, and decide where your limited resources matter most.

Sometimes the hardest decision isn't what to fix.

It's what you can afford to leave broken.

LEAD PEOPLE, NOT JUST NUMBERS

Your survivors are more than workers assigned to a schedule.

Each crew member brings different skills, strengths, vulnerabilities, and limits. Assign them where they're needed, monitor injuries and exhaustion, and deal with the tensions that emerge under pressure.

Your choices can affect more than supplies. They can shape the condition of your crew, their relationships, and their ability to endure the next crisis.

Keeping a shelter operational and keeping its people alive aren't always the same thing.

VENTURE INTO THE WORLD ABOVE

Not everything your bunker needs can be found underground.

Scan the surrounding region, uncover abandoned locations, assemble expedition teams, and prepare equipment before heading into dangerous territory.

Take direct control of important field decisions or let your crew follow the operational procedures you've chosen.

A successful expedition may bring back valuable supplies, new information, and a reason to hope. But injuries, equipment losses, and unexpected consequences can make even a successful mission costly.

EVERY DECISION HAS A COST

Would you help strangers when your own people are running out of food?

Would you spend your remaining materials on a failing facility or save them for the next emergency?

Would you delay a critical task to give an injured crew member time to recover?

There isn't always a perfect answer.

Choose your priorities. Accept the risks. Live with what happens next.

C.O.R.E. RECORDS EVERYTHING

Manage your shelter through the C.O.R.E. command terminal.

Facility reports, personnel records, intercepted signals, and fragments of the past reveal pieces of a world you have yet to understand.

What happened beyond the bunker walls? Why are certain systems still operating? And what remains hidden beneath the ruins?

Survival is your first objective. Understanding the world is another journey entirely.
