Catch, turned into a sport

Longball is two teams of three and a line down the middle. Throw it so it lands in their half. Catch everything that comes into yours.

• Land a throw in their half: 2 points
  
• Throw on your team's third touch for a Long Bomb: 3 points
  
• Catches don't score. They keep the point alive, and you have 3 seconds to throw it back
  
• Drop it, throw it out, come up short or touch it a fourth time, and they score
  
• Every catch heats the ball up. A hot ball scores bonus points
  
• First to 21, or the most points after four minutes. Tied? Sudden death, with two balls

Pick your powers

Before kickoff, everyone picks a loadout: one trick ball, one sabotage and one helper. Use them any time the ball is in play. They recharge, so use them often.

• Trick balls: Curveball, Splitter, Ghost Ball, Boomerang, Moon Ball
  
• Sabotage: Butterfingers, Banana Peels, Sprinkler, Fog Machine, The Dog
  
• Helpers: Big Glove, Trampoline, Bat Smash, Slow-Mo

A boss at halftime

At halftime the stadium's boss crashes the game: a T-Rex, a Giant Gnome, a Dragon, a Kraken, a Lava Golem or a UFO. Both teams pelt its glowing weak spots for bonus points. It can shake up the score, but it can't win the game for you.

Six stadiums

Each one has its own crowd of cheering beans and its own twist:

• Park Field: gusts of wind push every throw
  
• Backyard Bowl: fences, surprise sprinklers and a very nosy dog
  
• Castle Keep: catapults lob hay bales that flatten anyone underneath
  
• Shipwreck Cove: the tide shrinks and grows the field
  
• Magma Dome: lava cracks open, and a hot ball has to be thrown fast
  
• Lunar Arena: low gravity and floaty gravity pulses

Ways to play

• Find Match: jump into an online 3v3. Bots fill any empty spots
  
• Play with Friends: start a party, then search online together or play a Private Match with your own rules, from 1v1 up to 4v4
  
• League: take your crew through all six stadiums against six rival teams and win the trophy
  
• Play vs Bots: play offline against Easy, Normal or Hard bots

Floppy on purpose

Noodle arms. Wobbly hats. A button just for flopping over. Dive, jump and snag for trick catches, pump-fake the other team, and call for the ball when you're open.

After every match, everyone watches the Play of the Game together, and your best plays are saved to Highlights.

Unlock and dress up

Beat League rivals to unlock seven more powers and five crew jerseys. Level up to 50 by playing and clearing daily goals to earn hats, ball colours and trails. Then name your crew and dress them your way.
