Acerca de este juego

You came to learn how to ski. You weren't supposed to find out what happened on the mountain.

Julian “Rook” Vane is twenty-two, broke, and going nowhere. Then he finds an advert: three nights, ski rental and a beginner lesson for fifteen dollars.

It sounds ridiculous.

He buys the bus ticket anyway.

Grauhorn turns out to be an ageing ski resort beneath Mount Oread, a mountain whose best years and darkest secrets appear to be behind it. Rook's instructor is Astrid, a skier who knows every line on the mountain and has very good reasons for telling him where not to go.

What begins on the bunny hill gradually becomes something much bigger.

Learn to ski. Actually.

You don't unlock better skiing from a skill tree.

You learn it.

Start with a wedge because you can barely stop. Learn parallel turns. Find your rhythm through moguls and trees. Carry speed into a jump. Commit to an edge and carve.

As Rook becomes a better skier, you become a better skier with him.

There are no stat points turning a beginner into an expert. The techniques that felt difficult during your first runs eventually become instinct.

Skiing built around two skis

Each ski is simulated independently, with its own edge, grip, load and contact with the snow.

Groomed pistes hold an edge. Ice can chatter and slide beneath you. Powder creates drag and changes the way your skis move. Moguls demand rhythm. Trees demand control. Terrain parks reward commitment.

You aren't simply steering a character down a slope.

You're controlling a skier.

A mountain worth exploring

Grauhorn is more than a collection of ski runs.

Ride ageing chairlifts through changing weather. Ski beneath Mount Oread at sunrise. Follow tree-lined pistes as daylight fades. Find forgotten trail maps, abandoned infrastructure and traces of a resort that once stretched much farther up the mountain.

And above everything is the Spine. A line on an old map that everyone in Grauhorn would rather forget.

A story told on the mountain

The story unfolds while you ski, explore, train and race.

The better Rook becomes, the farther the mountain opens.

And the farther he goes, the harder it becomes to ignore what happened there.

Race without rubber-banding

When someone is faster than you, they're faster because they're skiing better.

Rivals use the same mountain and the same physical rules you do. They don't magically slow down because you've fallen behind, and they don't teleport onto your tail because you're ahead.

Win a race and you earned it.

From resort slopes to the high mountain

Your first goal is simple:

Learn to stop.

From there, Alpine Fall takes you through groomed pistes, moguls, forests, terrain parks, glaciers , crevasses, couloirs and increasingly demanding mountain terrain.

The resort teaches you how to ski.

Mount Oread will find out whether you learned.

COMING SOON!

Chapter One demo, The Fifteen-Dollar Ticket, is coming soon.

Five levels take Rook from his first snowplough to his first real race against Astrid.

Learn to ski. Master the mountain. Discover what it tried to bury.
