Why Early Access?

“Botbreach is built around combining hacks, turning enemy robots into allies, and surviving together. Player feedback is especially valuable for balancing these interactions, keeping different builds viable, and making solo and co-op runs equally engaging. Early Access gives us a chance to develop new content alongside the community and improve the game based on how people actually play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 6–12 months from its launch. This estimate may change depending on development progress, testing, and feedback from players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our current plans include new maps, enemy types and bosses, additional hacks and ultimates, and more ways to develop your build. We also plan to introduce optional contracts during runs which can significantly change builds. These additions are intended to create more choices and variety for both solo and co-op play. The scope and order of updates may change based on development and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build includes solo play and online co-op for up to four players, four maps with boss encounters, seven hacker classes, 13 regular hacks and five ultimate abilities. Runs feature upgrades and hack evolutions, while permanent progression unlocks additional gameplay options and cosmetic customization. Multiple difficulty settings are available. Balance, performance and overall polish are still being refined, and players may encounter bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the same base price throughout Early Access and at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam Discussions to collect bug reports, suggestions and feedback on builds, difficulty, progression and co-op. Players can help by describing what worked, what felt unclear, and which combinations were fun or frustrating. We plan to share development updates and patch notes on Steam, and use community feedback to help prioritize improvements and new content.”

About This Game

HACK ROBOTIC HORDES

Botbreach is a top-down action roguelite for solo play or online co-op with up to four players. Your cyberdeck activates automatically as you dodge attacks, select upgrades, and navigate guarded complexes. Hijack enemy robots, turn their attacks against them, and assemble hacks capable of handling any machine.

TURN THEIR MACHINES AGAINST THEM

Take control of a robot and watch it attack its own allies. Interrupt dangerous attacks, transfer damage between linked targets, or summon your own robotic reinforcements. Diverse hacks change how you handle overwhelming hordes and open up new survival strategies.

BUILD YOUR DECK AND BREACH DEFENSES

Choose a hacker class, combine automated hacks, and develop new hacks through branching evolutions. Equip hardware that shape your build. Unlock new options between runs and upgrade using credits earned during each attempt. If one combination doesn't work, try another.

BREACH THE SYSTEM SOLO OR WITH A TEAM

Play solo or team up with up to three friends online. Everyone builds their own deck, allowing you to bring different tools to the fight and trigger powerful synergies. If a teammate falls, stay close: a timely reboot can save the entire run.

INFILTRATE THE COMPLEX

Fight your way through a series of complexes to reach the network core. Hack your way forward, adapt to various types of machines, and try to defeat the mega-machines guarding the end of each complex. Keep moving, upgrade your gear, and mainly hack all robots.
