About This Game

A ruthless syndicate who call themselves the WTO (World Treaty Organisation) has taken the world's great cities. The resistance has one answer: you, on a custom CYBERBIKE armed with classified technology.

CYBERBIKES is a spiritual successor to a 1995 game named CyberBykes: Shadow Racer VR, inspired by its theme and style but reborn and reimagined.

ON A HORSE OF STEEL I RIDE

Your CYBERBIKE is powerful, loud, fast and the last of its class. A perfect machine for all forms of urban combat. The WTO have tried to replicate your CYBERBIKE's power but have failed, resorting to traditional military defences, alien technology and experimental machines. Classified intel has detected a strong signal under the ice of Antarctica, indicating that the WTO may have had a breakthrough. This cannot be allowed!

SEEK AND DESTROY

Your CYBERBIKE is armed with classified military technology that includes ballistics, rockets, energy weapons and explosives. In addition to advanced armour and shielding, the CYBERBIKE has a custom engine capable of extreme speeds. It also has room for special modules such as Hyperdrive and an EMP. Pick a loadout that matches your style and gives you the advantage during a sortie.

RECLAIM THE STREETS

Every sortie (a mission) is a segment of a real city (where possible) and is mapped to scale using OpenStreetMap data. The WTO have taken key landmarks and guard their greatest technology fiercely. Enemy CYBERBIKE gangs roam the streets, Bombers rule the skies, Cruisers guard the rivers and oceans, and the perils of the environment are very real.

You roam freely, able to decide which objectives you want to complete first. Nothing is on rails and there is no hand-holding.

WITNESS ME SHINY AND CHROME

Your CYBERBIKE can be tuned to your liking to make it faster, more agile and tougher. Different missions suit different setups: adapt, or brute-force your own way! Choose your war paint.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

As you explore, you will pick up Research Points (RP), which can be spent on upgrade trees. Decide how to spend your points. If you're stuck, you can repeat missions and gather as much RP as you need. There is no gating here!

MARK YOUR TARGET

At launch, CYBERBIKES will feature 8 different sectors of varying difficulty and a VR Proving Ground where you can practise as much as you want. You can choose to do most of these in any order you wish, if you're feeling brave.
