About This Game

The Queen sends you into her nightmare world to fight in her name. She does not expect much.

Come back with a tidy little deck and she will tell you exactly what she thinks of it. Come back with an engine that loops and gets out of control, and she might look up.

Queen’s Pact is a dark roguelite deckbuilder with auto-battler combat.

You build.

They fight.

She judges.

BUILD SOMETHING SCANDALOUS

Go big or go home, the queen won't accept dreaming small.

KEEP THE RECEIPTS

Every fight ends with a report: damage card by card, triggers counted, the biggest hit named, and a clear view of which card carried and which one just stood there looking pretty.

REPLAY YOUR TRIUMPH... OR DOWNFALL

Proud of that one? Replay any fight of the run. Slow it down, find the exact second it broke, and enjoy it.

DISAPPOINT HER DIFFERENTLY

A full run takes about an hour (30 minutes in the demo). See how far the build goes, then come back with a better one.

  • Champions with their own starting cards.

  • Shrines, markets and fights.

  • Four difficulties.

  • Seeded runs.

  • Unlock new cards between runs.

MEET THE COURT

Each act ends with a boss. Bring something better than last time.

IN THE UPCOMING DEMO

  • 2 acts, each ending with a boss

  • 3 champions, each with a custom starter

  • 90 allies, 18 items, 36 relics

  • 40 opponents and 23 events

  • About 30 minutes for a full demo run

REDECORATE HER COURT

The game is built out of simple files, and they are yours to ruin. She will pretend not to notice.

  • Replace any image by dropping a new file into a folder.

  • Edit lore text and balance values in plain configuration files.

  • Create new cards and relics the same way.

FAQ

Is it an auto-battler or a deckbuilder?

Both. You build a deck across a run, as in a roguelite deckbuilder. Fights then run on their own, as in an auto-battler: each card acts on its own timer. Your decisions are the deck, the relics and the route.

Is it story-driven?

No. Queen’s Pact has a setting and a Queen with opinions, told through events and short encounters. There are no character arcs to follow. The run is the focus.

Will broken combos get nerfed?

Not for being strong. Earned, overpowered builds are what the game is for. We will fix bugs, softlocks and anything that wins a run without you making decisions. We do not promise perfect balance.

Balance values also live in configuration files, so you can tune your own game in either direction.

Is it RNG-heavy?

Randomness decides what you are offered: cards, relics, events and adversaries. You decide the champion, the route through each area, what to take and what to sacrifice.

When a fight goes badly, the combat report and the replay show you where it was lost.

Is there modding?

Yes. Images sit in a folder and can be replaced. Lore text and balance values sit in configuration files and can be edited. New cards and relics are created the same way.

How does readability work when a build goes off?

Every fight ends with a combat report: damage per card, triggers counted, biggest hit named. You can replay any fight of the run at the speed you choose, and the combat log keeps every trigger in the order it resolved.
