A first-person combat racer with the look and sound of a late-90s 32-bit console game. Drive and shoot from behind the wheel: put rival drivers down through the glass, blast tires off, smash through roadblocks and survive typhoons, cracking lake ice and burning refineries in eleven locations.

About This Game
One hand on the wheel. One hand on the gun.
Lead Foot is a first-person combat racer where you drive and shoot at the same time. Lean out of the window and put a bullet through the other driver's head, take a wheel off with a magnum at full speed, smash through the roadblock ahead and cross the line first. They shoot back.

It is a PS1-style game built the way games were built in the late 90s, not a filter over a modern one: low-poly cars with hand-painted pixel textures, wobbling vertices, warping textures, per-vertex lighting and dithered 15-bit color.
Features

Everything from the driver's seat. Aim out of the side window or fire straight through your own windshield. The glass breaks, the wind gets in, and you reload while the car bucks over the ruts.

Shoot what matters. One bullet to the head takes a driver out. Tires, engines and fuel tanks can all be shot, and a burning car does not stay a car for long.

11 locations, 22 routes. Pine Ridge, White Pass, Typhoon Valley, Stone Harbour, Green Hell, Bone Flats, Hook Point, Black Ice, Field 12, Harvest and Cracking Plant, each one also at night.

The road fights back. Typhoon gusts shove the car sideways, waves wash over a causeway, lake ice cracks under heavy cars and explosions, refinery tanks go up in chain reactions, and the corn stands taller than your roof.

Roadblocks and hunters. Rivals block the road ahead so you have to smash through, or come for you from behind.

8 cars. A 1970 muscle coupe, a pickup, an 80s hot hatch, a 60s Italian GT, a utility 4x4, a rally 4x4, a sports coupe and a 2.6-tonne armored ram. Each one handles, sounds and falls apart its own way.

7 guns. A compact pistol, an auto pistol, a magnum that takes a wheel off in one shot, a shotgun, a double-barrel sawn-off, a submachine gun and a flare gun that sets cars on fire.

Career. Win prize money for your place and a bonus for every driver you take out and every car you wreck. Spend it on cars, guns, nitrous, engine and turbo upgrades. Your rivals buy the same parts.

A 90s arcade announcer calls the countdown, the headshots and the wrecks.

Your pixels, your call. Pixel size and dithering can be changed in the options.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The sound effects, engine sounds and the race announcer's voice were generated with ElevenLabs (sound effects, text-to-speech and voice design) and then edited, mixed and processed by the developer. Parts of the store page text were drafted with AI assistance.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Lead Foot is a combat racing game. The player shoots at rival drivers from behind the wheel: hits show blood, killed drivers slump in their seats, and cars crash, burn and explode. The violence is shown in a low-poly, late-90s style, with no dismemberment or torture.
