What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is already complete and playable from start to finish, but the online co-op is the part that only gets better with real players. Four strangers on four different connections will find things I cannot find alone. I want to balance the modes, fix what only shows up in real games, and build the rest with people playing it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Between six months and a year, depending on how much the feedback changes the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add Steam achievements and global leaderboards, and to keep working on the balance of the three maps and the boss chains based on what players report. The three maps, the 16 bosses, the 54 enemy types and the three game modes are already in the Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable from start to finish. Three connected maps with a single-player campaign that saves your progress, Horde and Kaos modes with online co-op for up to 4 players, 16 bosses, 54 enemy types, 11 weapons, 33 power cards, a full day and night cycle and weather that changes how you play. Available in 8 languages.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price when the game leaves Early Access. Buying during Early Access will be the cheapest the game is.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussion forums, reading bug reports and balance feedback and putting them straight into the build. I also plan to open a Discord once there are enough players to make it worth joining, so co-op groups can find each other.”

About This Game

FOUR PLAYERS, ONE HORDE

Team up online with up to three friends and hold the line together. Horde and Kaos modes are built for co-op: share the map, share the gems, pick each other up off the ground and see how long you last when the night comes.

OR WALK THE ROAD ALONE

The Siege campaign is a single-player journey across three maps. Cross the Valley, descend into the Cavern and end in the Dungeon, with your gear, your gold and your progress carried from one to the next. Your run is saved when you leave, so you can pick it up whenever you want.

BUILD YOUR RUN

Eleven weapons, from the starting sword to the war hammer. The merchant shows up every day to sell them, and you decide what to carry in your four slots. Thirty-three power cards on top: orbital daggers, a fire sword, turrets, a vortex that drags everything in, a fairy that fights at your side. And the game plays the way you want it to sound: five soundtracks to pick from, from Celtic Legend to Steel Fury.

THE WORLD FIGHTS BACK

Day turns to night and the horde changes with it. Rain, lightning storms, firestorms and fog sweep the Valley. Lava pools and earthquakes break open the Cavern. Tornados and toxic gas hunt you through the Dungeon. The weather is not scenery: it will kill you.

SIXTEEN BOSSES

Fifty-four kinds of enemy, and sixteen bosses waiting at the end of the chain. A serpent, a griffin, a spider queen, a giant boar that splits itself in two, a stone golem that calls meteors down from the sky. Each one has its own phases, and none of them fight like the last.
