Between journeys, return to safety to prepare for the next crossing. Restock healing potions, equip new amulets, upgrade your staff, improve your abilities—and, of course, take new souls aboard.

Ferryman of Souls

Every soul must pay for passage.

But not every soul is going to the same destination.

The greater the fare, the farther along the river you must carry your passenger. And with every new dock, the inhabitants of Hades become more dangerous.

A short crossing may bring modest profit with manageable risk.

A wealthy soul may offer a much greater reward—but reaching their destination means sailing deeper into hostile territory.

Decide how far you are willing to go before every journey.

Take the fare. Measure the risk. Survive the crossing.

Command the Elements

Magic in the underworld is divided between five elements:

Water. Fire. Air. Earth. Astral.

Every spell belongs to one of them.

Upgrade individual spells or strengthen an entire element to shape your build around the powers you prefer.

Your equipment can push those builds even further.

Staves can enhance your magic and change the way you fight, while Amulets provide additional bonuses that can strengthen specific spells or entire elemental paths.

Combine spells, elemental upgrades, staves and amulets to create increasingly powerful builds for every journey.

The Styx Is Only the Beginning

The rivers of the underworld are very different places.

Cross the dark waters of the Styx, sail through the burning currents of Phlegethon, brave the frozen reaches of Cocytus, and venture deeper into the realm of the dead.

Each river introduces new dangers, enemies and challenges—and takes Charon farther from the safety of the shore.

Grow Stronger Between Crossings

The coins carried by the dead are more than payment.

Use your earnings to develop Charon, improve your equipment and expand your power in the underworld.

Every successful voyage gives you another opportunity to prepare for a more dangerous one.
