What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are developing 700 MB as an episodic visual novel. Early Access allows us to release completed story content in stages, gather player feedback, and continue expanding the game as development progresses.
We plan to add new in-game days and further develop the character routes over time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect 700 MB to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 years.
We plan to release new episodes gradually, with development time depending on the amount of new writing, locations, character artwork, and other visual content required. Later parts of the game are expected to require more unique artwork and character-specific content, which may increase development time.
Our current goal is to reach the full 1.0 release around 2030, although this estimate may change as development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with additional in-game days, story events, choices, and character routes.
As new episodes are developed, the overall scope of the story is planned to grow until the main narrative and the character routes reach their intended conclusions. We may also refine existing content based on player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will launch with the first paid episode of the game, following the three in-game days available in the free demo.
It will provide a playable portion of the main story with branching choices, relationship progression, and multiple character routes. Additional story content is planned to be added in later episodes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently do not plan to change the base price when the game leaves Early Access, although this may be reconsidered depending on the final scope of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to collect feedback through the Steam Community discussions and player reviews. Feedback on story pacing, choices, character routes, usability, bugs, and localization will help us identify areas that may need improvement.
We also plan to publish development updates and use community feedback when refining existing content and planning future episodes.”

About This Game

700 MB is a first-love school romance simulator.

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a quiet Russian provincial town in the mid-2000s, shape the protagonist’s personality, help him escape the endless trouble he gets himself into, and win the heart of one of five classmates!

Story

Oleg Astafyev is preparing to move to Moscow for work and begin a new chapter in his life. It brings back memories from the time he moved fifteen years earlier, when his family relocated shortly before the end of the school year.
The final months of ninth grade in distant 2004 turned out to be anything but quiet for Oleg: a new town, a new school, and new people. He had to quickly find his place in both school life and the world outside it, if only to escape a home filled with problems. And then there was that one girl — the one who made his heart beat just a little faster…

Heroines

And who exactly is that one girl? That is up to you! Oleg can develop a relationship with one of five heroines.

Polina is a troubled teenager who will definitely teach you a few bad habits. She has no illusions about this fleeting world, though that does not stop her from enjoying some parts of it. Getting close to Polina means challenging the rules, the adults, and, to some extent, common sense itself.

Yeva is the kind of girl who leaves everyone around her with a lot of questions. But if you stop trying to find the answers and simply learn to look at things from a different angle, you might genuinely enjoy her company. Getting close to Eva means killing the cringe inside you and becoming truly free.

Dasha is the classic girl next door—the kind of person who is always fun to hang out with after school. You can talk to her about the things you actually care about, hit up a computer club together, or simply wander around town looking for adventure. Getting close to Dasha means finding a loyal partner in just about everything.

Lida is the star of her own movie, and she is considering you for the second lead. She is unpredictable and original, but you will have to play by her rules—or at least pretend that you do. Getting close to Lida means getting a season pass to an emotional roller coaster.

Sonya is a quiet and secretive girl whose mystery you will have to unravel. Her tendency to judge people too quickly often works against her, and you will have to make an effort if you want to leave a good impression. Getting close to Sonya means constantly discovering new sides of her personality.

…And the Boys

The highs and lows of school life are always better when you have someone to share them with. Fortunately, Oleg’s new school is home not only to potential love interests, but also to some loyal friends.

Kostya, Zhora, and Nikita are the closest-knit group in the class and your main guides to the new school. A calm leader, an awkward sweetheart, and a ridiculous class clown will make sure you are never bored—or alone.
Your friends will accompany you throughout every route, but you will see the most content involving them on the

Loner route.

The Protagonist’s Personality

Throughout the game, your choices will shape Oleg’s personality.

On the Clown path, Oleg rarely takes life seriously, constantly looks for opportunities to joke around, and loves acting like an idiot. He tends to make impulsive decisions and may sometimes hurt people without meaning to with the things he says.

On the Bore path, Oleg takes life more seriously and tries to remain sensible and cautious in any situation. He chooses his words carefully and rarely agrees to do something stupid without thinking it through first.

Other Features

  • The game includes an optional profanity filter. By default, the dialogue contains no explicit language, but if you want the characters to sound a little more authentic, you can restore the full richness of the Russian language in the settings.

  • The game will be released episodically. Once the next episode is ready, the game will become available in Early Access, allowing you to purchase it and start reading the new content right away.

Support

If you would like to support the development of the project, you can do so on Boosty. Supporters at every tier get early access to new artwork and exclusive teasers for spoiler-heavy content, while higher tiers also include deeper behind-the-scenes looks at the development process.
