AURA FALLS

One island. A ring of portals, a different game behind each one, and a hub full of friends to hang out with between them.

Aura Falls is an online party game for one to four players. Roll around the island as a little masked warrior, step through a portal, and drop into something completely different:

• Race four wild courses: a meadow slide, a road over a lava plain, a neon cave, and a ledge at the bottom of the sea

• Snowboard down a mountain through gates, drops and a canyon

• Bowl a strike in a neon alley

• Survive wave after wave of robots together

• Settle it one-on-one in the ring

Five ways to play

Race

Four courses, no two alike, taken as a ball at full tilt. Throw yourself down the meadow slide and over its jumps on the Grasslands. Dodge a giant golem's fists and ride the loop on a road above the lava in Cinderfall. Drop into Disco Deep, a cave that runs from the last of the daylight to torchlight to glowing water, with ice falling from the dark. Then roll the seabed of the Trench, where crabs sweep the road and vents fling you into the air. Power-slide the corners, race your friends or the clock, and your best times go on the boards.

Downhill

A whole mountain on a snowboard. Carve through the gates, fly off the drops, grind the rails, and throw spins, grabs and flips on the way down, past the chairlift and the lodge to the finish. Miss a gate and it's back to the last one you made.

Survival

The co-op one. An arena after dark, and waves of machines marching in out of the night. Hold out together with blades, throwing stars and a lasso; the gap between waves is your only breather. When you go down you ride behind a teammate's eyes until the last of you falls, and then the board tallies how far you got. How many waves can four of you survive?

Bowling

Real ten-pin, taken in turns, in a neon alley. Take a lane, line yourself up, and aim down a line of light. Hold to curl up and spin: the longer you hold, the faster you go. Let go and you're launched down the lane, drift and all, with nothing left to press. It's scored 0 to 300, and it's counted, not claimed.

Duel

One on one in a raised ring at the centre of a colosseum, with the crowd close enough to the rail to watch you do it. No portals, no gimmicks: just you, your opponent, and ropes you can feel. Settle it.

The hub

Between runs, everybody comes back to the island, and it's half the fun. Pick your next portal. Dress up at the machine: hats, glasses, masks, eyes and colours. Step through the arch into the winter to spend what you've earned at the shop and skate across the frozen sea. Jam together on the drums and the keyboard, check the leaderboards, and knock each other into the sea. It's the room the whole game hangs around in.

Grow your warrior

Playing pays. Earn experience and levels, bank Aura Coins, and unlock weapons and cosmetics to make your little fighter your own. Climb the leaderboards on the modes that keep score.

FAQ

How many people can play?

One to four. Host a game on your own, or bring up to three friends into the same island.

Do I need friends to play?

No. You can play everything solo — Survival is more fun with a full team, but nothing locks you out for playing alone.

Is it PvP or co-op?

Both. Survive together, race and bowl and duel against each other, and cause friendly chaos in the hub. Play it however your group likes.

How do I play with friends?

Invite them through Steam — from the overlay or your friends list. Accepting an invite drops you straight into their game, even if you didn't have Aura Falls open.

Do I need an account?

No extra account — you're signed in through Steam automatically when the game starts. That's what keeps your progress, your wardrobe, and your leaderboard spots.

Controller supported?

Yes — full controller support, or mouse and keyboard if you prefer.

Is there more coming?

Yes. More gates are on the way, along with new courses, cosmetics, and things to unlock. Aura Falls is made to keep growing.
