Dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, 11,034 metres down. Short dives, a searchlight against the dark, rare samples, strange creatures and a small yellow bathyscaphe that goes a little deeper after every upgrade. What waits at the bottom? You will find out at the end.

About This Game

Every dive goes deeper than the last

You pilot the research bathyscaphe B-01. The winch lowers you into the ocean, the air lasts a couple of minutes, and the hull only holds so much pressure. Catch samples in your searchlight, scan creatures nobody has seen before and come back up with a full hold.

Build the bathyscaphe up, part by part

In the shipyard your finds turn into credits, and credits turn into new parts: a stronger hull, more oxygen tanks, a bigger propeller, a longer searchlight, sonar, a manipulator arm and a faster winch. Every upgrade shows up on the 3D model, and every upgrade opens a few hundred more metres of darkness.

Five zones, from the reef to the hadal trench

Sunbeams fade into blue twilight, then into total darkness where the only light comes from jellyfish, photophores and your own lamp. The light, the colour, the sound and the creatures all change on the way down.

Light is your tool

The searchlight finds samples, scans new species and scares off predators. Anglerfish and giant isopods punish carelessness, but they are afraid of a bright beam. The sonar pings the dark and shows what hides in it.

A field journal worth filling

Every creature and sample you find goes into a paper journal as a photo. Unknown entries stay black silhouettes until you meet them. The lab studies the species you have logged and keeps earning credits even while the game is closed.

Something is waiting at the bottom

Past 10,400 metres the trench goes quiet. That is where the expedition ends.
