In AD 1, Augustus's Rome and Wang Mang's Xin live through the same year. Between them, on the steppe and the peninsulas, new names are rising.

Age of Dynasty & Dust is a turn-based grand strategy game that puts the entire Old World on a single map, from 1200 BC to 1941. You begin by governing a single city and end by contesting the world.

46 ages, one world

From the year Troy fell to the year all of Eurasia became one front line, 46 scenarios each open a different world. 80 cities and 6,608 historical figures whose names survive in the sources stand upon it. There is not a single fictional character.

Every ruler dies

Succession is the heart of this game. Rulers have lifespans, and when one dies, family and legitimacy put the next to the test. When the bloodline breaks, the realm shakes. A single game runs sixty to a hundred and twenty years — two or three generations.

A world taken by the sword alone does not last

Conquest is not enough. Every culture fields different troops; a different faith is harder to rule; raze a holy site and it is remembered for generations. Hold the linked cities of the six great roads — the Silk Road, the Steppe Road and more — and caravan tolls flow in; sell Khotan jade and Chang'an silk when the market is right.

Walk the world

From the Great Pyramid of Giza to Angkor Wat, 84 real historic sites lie on the map, and the first officer to visit leaves a name in the annals. They follow their age — the oracle at Delphi falls silent in 391, and Cologne Cathedral rises only in 1248.

And what became of that world?

Unify the world and a coronation, a feast of honours and the records of your reign follow — and last, a historian writing centuries later tells the epilogue: how long what you built endured, what remained, and what was forgotten.

※ The interface, scenarios and in-game manual are fully localized. The 6,608 character biographies are available in Korean and Japanese only; in other languages they appear in Korean.
※ The 6,608 character portraits come from two sources. 3,928 were created with generative AI tools and then selected and retouched by a person; 2,404 are historical images collected from public archives such as Wikimedia Commons and resized to fit the screen (the remaining 276 reuse the same picture for another entry or were brought over from the developer's other game). The 501 collected images whose licences require attribution are credited one by one in the in-game portrait credits.
