About This Game

A new Task Bar RPG — with a real economy

Task Bar Dungeons is a new dark-fantasy idle RPG in a compact window in the corner of your screen. Three heroes fight endless hordes on their own. You pick the team, the skills and the builds — and after launch, you'll trade what you find on the Steam Community Market.

We don't hunt bots. We make botting pointless.

Trading games usually lose the war against gold farms. Ours was built from day one so that farming simply doesn't pay.
  • Power can't be bought — only earned.
  • No invasive anti-cheat, no random bans.
  • An economy that stays fair for the players who actually play.
Steam Community Market trading arrives in an update after launch.

A new hero every month

After launch we plan to add a new hero every month: new specializations, new skills, new ways to break your party build.

Plays while you work

Put it in the corner and get on with your day. Collapse the window to just the battle, or pin it on top. Your party fights, levels up and picks up loot on its own — even while you Alt-Tab into work — and keeps going while the game is closed, for up to 8 hours.

A meeting drags on. In the corner of your screen, Noxa pulls a whole pack of Drowned Guards into a black hole.

And if you want to go deeper…

…we're not telling. Not yet. We'd rather show you on first launch. Just know this: there's more to do here than on your actual to-do list.

Six heroes. Twelve ways to play.

Every hero has two specializations, and one switch changes everything: weapon, skills, role in the party. Each specialization brings four skills, its own passive and its own talent tree — 15 nodes and 4 skill upgrades. Take your heroes to level 100, rebirth them for permanent bonuses and build the party nobody else thought of.

VARG · Living Shield / Heavy Crossbowman

Varg is raw beastly power you can trust with your party. A hulking werewolf, a predator's grin and weapons that match his size: when he steps forward, even the darkness gives ground.

MARA · Guardian / Healer

Mara brings calm to the moment before the hardest blow. A knight of steel resolve and a steady gaze, she makes the darkest dungeon feel like a place your party can survive.

ROOK · Marksman / Beast Master

A quiet hunter with a cool gaze and a loyal bear at his side. There is something dangerous in Rook's stillness: he has already chosen his target.

SERA · Battle Mage / Fire Summoner

Sera walks into darkness as though it were her stage. A daring smile, fire at her fingertips and a blazing temper — every descent becomes a spectacle in her company.

REYNA · Kunai Skirmisher / Blade Dancer · Supporter Pack

Quick, bold and dangerously charming. Reyna turns combat into a dance along a blade's edge, with an easy smile and steel that moves faster than the eye can follow.

NOXA · Abyss Witch / Dawnkeeper · Supporter Pack

Noxa draws you to the boundary between abyss and dawn. In darkness she is cold and commanding; in light she shines with a beauty that holds your gaze. Two faces of one mystery, ready to descend at your side.

Hordes that fight back

Shamans heal their pack. Shield bearers cover it. Bombers blow up when they die. Pack leaders roar the horde into a frenzy. And every act ends with a boss — the Faceless Bellringer, the Funeral Marshal, the Lord of the Veil — who hits the whole party and enrages if you're too slow.

Normal is just the warm-up

Beat the campaign to unlock Hard. Beat Hard to unlock Hell.

Life in the village

Off duty, your heroes don't sit in a menu. Whoever isn't in the party lives in the village: walks the paths, stops by the smithy and the well, side by side with the villagers. Send a team out — the rest stay home and get on with their lives.

Chests, smiths and a real economy

Every stage ends with a pack leader — a mini-boss who may drop a chest. Act bosses always do. The Locksmith cracks one chest every ten minutes, even while the game is closed.
  • Blacksmith — forge new gear for any hero, then upgrade it to +5.
  • Smelter — melt what you don't need into iron ingots, essence and embers.
  • Storage — keeps your materials. After launch, materials are what you'll trade on the Steam Community Market. Weapons and armor stay with the player who earned them.

Features

  • Free to play. No energy, no pay-to-win.
  • 6 heroes, 12 specializations, 48 skills
  • A full talent tree for every specialization, level 100 and rebirths
  • A living village: forge, smelt, open chests, store materials
  • 3 acts, 3 difficulties, bosses with phases
  • Idle progress while you're away
  • Compact window: collapse it to the battle, pin it on top
  • After launch (planned): Steam Community Market trading and a new hero every month

Add Task Bar Dungeons to your wishlist — Steam will tell you the moment the dungeon opens.
