“This game is driven and developed by fan input.
Every feature, ability, and even BUG will be fan driven, as content is constantly removed, added, and updated. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. Because our roadmap is heavily community-driven, this timeframe may adjust as we incorporate player feedback, expand fan-suggested features, and scale the world's interactive mechanics.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the Early Access version establishes our core 2D sandbox survival loop, we plan to expand the world’s scale, variety, and community interaction tools over time.

Throughout development, we aim to introduce additional environmental biomes, more complex platforming sections, expanded side activities like fishing, and a broader array of community-driven world hazards and events. We also plan to grow the catalog of interactable NPCs, wildlife, and unlockable customization items as our player base grows.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game offers a functional 2D sandbox environment on a single persistent server. Players can explore the initial world map, experience early environmental hazards, and play 4 unique mini-games. This early release serves as a core framework for testing mechanics and gathering player feedback as we build out more content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The game will always remain permanently free and driven by the IRIAM community. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is the core driving force of our development. We collect player feedback, feature suggestions, and event ideas directly during our live broadcasts on IRIAM.

Through live streams, viewers and players can interact with the sandbox in real time, test new mechanics, suggest upcoming point redemptions, and help shape new world hazards. We actively monitor stream chat and community interactions during broadcasts to guide our development priorities, bug fixes, and feature additions.”

  • IRIAM Community-Driven World: The world will change and transform day by day through interactive redemptions—spawning new wildlife, flora, structures, and world modifiers in real time.

  • Dynamic World Events & Hazards: Stay on your toes as the environment shifts with day/night cycles, weather systems, gravity inversions, and map-clearing hazard strikes.

  • Quests & Unique Character Encounters: Meet eccentric NPCs across the landscape who present unique challenges, custom mini-games, and unusual survival scenarios.

  • Platforming & Map Traversal: Test your movement skills across shifting terrain, jump puzzles, and environmental obstacles scattered throughout the map.

  • Community Challenges: Work together—or run for safety—during high-threat god-tier events where only the quickest players survive.

  • Environmental Survival: Dodge map-wide hazards like Floor is Lava, sweeping laser defense grids, and ion cannon strikes targeting the terrain.

  • Persistent Currency: Surviving challenges and interacting with the world will generate a currency tied to your Steam account that can be spent in-game for upgrades, outfits, and more!
