About This Game

THE PHONE RANG AFTER TWELVE YEARS IN A BOX

Haru is spending the last week of summer at grandma's house in Wasure-machi — «the Forgotten Town». In the storeroom, inside a cardboard box, an old yellow flip phone switches itself on. Inside it lives Denpa: a sarcastic AI stuck forever at 4% battery, and the only thing in the world that can see tsukumogami — the spirits that grow inside objects people stopped caring about.

The umbrella grandma lost in 1987 has been waiting on the stairs the whole time. It is thrilled to see you.

Raise the TsukuLens and the town turns violet. Something is breathing inside that bush, under that vending machine, behind that shutter. Hold your breath, frame it, take the photo — a good shot earns you a friend, a bad shot earns you a blurry thumb and a spirit that is now annoyed.

A raincoat that never dried. A stapler that appointed itself a judge. A vending machine with strong opinions about loyalty. Every spirit has a tribe, a personality (shy, cocky, sleepyhead…), a favourite snack and a bond that grows when you feed it.

THE WHEEL

Six friends on a spinning wheel: three at the front fighting, three at the back catching their breath. Spin to rotate, aim with the camera, purify the cursed, throw snacks, and when the gauge fills — pull the trigger on a Burst and hit the rhythm.

A TOWN THAT LIVES ON YOUR CLOCK

The calendar inside the game is your calendar. Festivals arrive when they arrive. A full moon is a full moon. The boss of the week rotates every real Monday, and the ghost bus only stops on Tuesdays — at places that do not exist.

• 14 places: the town, a hot spring, a beach festival, a neon city, a landfill kingdom, a school at midnight, an abandoned hospital, the sewers, a dead train tunnel, the spirit back-alley, and the same town in 1987.

• The Tsukumo League: eight rivals scattered across the world, and a tournament that will humble you.

• The Tower of the Forgotten: 50 floors, random modifiers, no mercy.

• Fishing, gachapon, karaoke duels, menko, cooking, a bug net, an onsen, a TV channel, rumours, photo quests and a free photo mode with filters, stickers and frames.

• Your own room to decorate with everything you drag home, and your photos framed on the wall.

• Two-player co-op where the second player is Denpa: a cursor that marks targets and throws snacks.

THE TONE

Warm, silly and occasionally sad, in the way that only a story about things people threw away can be. Denpa will insult you. You will grow fond of a stapler. Around chapter six you may need a moment.
