What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I developed VertexRun with a solid foundation of 50 fully playable levels and a well-defined core mechanic. I decided to launch the game in Early Access because I consider it essential to involve players in this final stage of development. This will allow me to receive direct feedback on the difficulty curve, control tuning, and performance across different hardware configurations, ensuring that the final version is as polished and enjoyable as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to keep VertexRun in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe will allow me to gather sufficient community feedback, fix potential bugs, and optimize performance.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience with 50 playable levels. For the full version, I plan to focus on overall polish and implementing improvements based on community feedback.

Among the goals and additions I would like to explore for the final version are:

- Performance optimization and refining control responsiveness (PC and mobile).
- Adjustments to the difficulty curve and balancing of existing levels.
- Potential addition of new worlds, visual environments, and extra obstacles.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of VertexRun is fully playable and offers the core gameplay experience from day one.

Currently available content and features:

- 50 complete levels distributed across several worlds and 3D visual environments.
- 5 difficulty tiers: Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nightmare.
- Rotation speed system: Allows dynamically adjusting speed according to player needs.
- Objectives and interactables: Collectible orbs and goal portals in every level.
- Multi-control support: Keyboard on PC (A/D or Arrow keys to rotate, Q/E or Up/Down arrows for speed), as well as touch buttons and gyroscope on mobile devices.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price of VertexRun will remain exactly the same both during the Early Access stage and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will be constantly checking the Steam Community discussion forums and official game channels. I will read and interact directly with players regarding their experience with control precision, difficulty balancing, and potential bug reports.

I will use community feedback as the primary guide to prioritize patches, performance adjustments, and the implementation of potential new features before the final launch.”
