Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to involve the community in shaping Groundwork Simulator before its full release. The gameplay foundation is fully in place, and we plan to expand the experience with more maps and vehicles while using player feedback to guide additional features and improvements.”

“Groundwork Simulator is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 3–6 months. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and community feedback. Progress updates will be shared throughout Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with an additional map, more vehicles and new weather features, alongside improvements to existing systems, usability, MOD SUPPORT and performance. Community feedback will help guide further additions and development priorities. These plans may evolve during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes most of the features planned for the full release, one playable map, a range of vehicles and heavy machinery, and a story mode that introduces players to the game’s core mechanics through a guided tutorial.”

“There are no plans to change the base price when Groundwork Simulator leaves Early Access.”

WELCOME TO GROUNDWORK SIMULATOR

Groundwork Simulator puts you behind the controls of heavy machinery, with a landscape to reshape and gold to uncover. Dig into the hillside, haul material across your site and set up the equipment that turns a bucket of dirt into your next gold recovery. Work at your own pace or share the job with friends.

EVERY BUCKET CHANGES THE LANDSCAPE

Dig trenches, cut into hillsides and build up piles as you shape your worksite. Every scoop changes the ground you work on, creating new routes, steeper slopes and fresh challenges. Plan your approach, the ground you leave behind becomes the foundation for your next job.

REALISTIC PHYSICS

Dig with a realistic excavation engine and simulated hydraulic feedback that brings resistance to every scoop. Feel your machine respond as the bucket meets the ground and material builds up inside it. Adjust your angle and work with the available hydraulic power to cut through the terrain, fill your bucket and lift the load.

FROM DIRT TO GOLD

Explore the land in search of gold-rich ground. Drill and test for deposits, choose your digging spot and set up your wash plant. Excavate promising material, wash it through the sluice boxes and process the concentrate on the shaking table, from your first test hole to your next gold recovery.

WORK SOLO OR SHARE THE SITE

Run the operation yourself or divide the work in online co-op. Take the excavator while a friend handles transport, or keep material moving together between the digging area and the wash plant. Coordinate your machines and turn a patch of untouched ground into a busy worksite.

WATER SYSTEM

Bring water to your washing operation with pumps and hoses. Position your equipment, route your connections across the site and get water flowing where it’s needed. As your worksite grows, adapt your setup to keep the washing operation supplied.

TRANSPORT

Load your heavy machinery onto a trailer and haul it by truck to your next worksite. Line up for loading, plan your route and navigate tight turns, slopes and rough terrain with a heavy load behind you. Unload your equipment where you need it and get to work.

FIGHT THE TERRAIN

Mud, slopes and rough ground make every route a decision. Watch your traction, choose your approach and take care with a heavy load. Sometimes the next job is improving the ground beneath your wheels before you can get back to digging.
