Ministry of Misery (M.O.M.) is a satirical paper-pushing bureaucracy sim about power, corruption and keeping the country barely functional. Approve policies, manipulate the press, blame everyone else, take bribes and survive scandal. Cause Misery. Maintain Order. Remain in Power.

You are the Minister of Everything

Sit behind the desk and run the country one decision at a time. Approve or reject policies, respond to crises, manage the press, deal with ministers, suppress inconvenient information and try to stop public unrest from spiralling out of control.

Your choices affect the state of the country, including public anger, trust, unrest, the economy, public services, government credibility, foreign tension and the Treasury. Some consequences are immediate, while others may return months later and create entirely new problems.

Decisions rarely end when the paperwork leaves your desk. Reporters remember. Investigations continue. Old policies create new problems. And sometimes the safest option is simply to blame somebody else.

Your goal is to stay in power for as long as possible while managing the consequences of your decisions. Runs can end in different ways depending on the state of the country and the choices you make.

• Reach multiple possible endings, including resignation, political collapse and worse
