Attack of J is a choice-driven narrative game inspired by its creator’s real experiences. Step into Jiang Chang’s life, where every encounter, hesitation, and decision helps shape his personality and leads toward different life endings.

This life has its tender moments and its messy ones. There is absurdity that will make you laugh out loud, and moments you will want to linger on long after the laughter fades. You will face more than the choices on screen: you will face the question of what kind of life you truly want.

Make choices. Shape your personality.

When conflict arises, will you stand your ground or give way? In a relationship, will you draw closer or walk away? Make decisions at crucial moments and let your choices influence your personality and the course of the story. Try a different answer and discover where the road you never took might lead.

You are searching for an ending, but you are also answering a question: after everything you have been through, what kind of person will you become?

The story draws on its creator’s real life. The excitement and missed chances of love, the closeness and distance within a family, and the companionship and farewells of friendship weave together into an imperfect journey filled with genuine emotion.

A playable demo is planned, with macOS support and Steam Workshop features to be added over time. None of these are currently available. Release dates and the scope of these additions will be detailed in future announcements.

Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating portions of this game's code, artwork, videos, music, sound effects, and multilingual localization. All such content was generated in advance during development and is shipped with the game as fixed content. The game does not use generative AI to generate content in real time during gameplay, nor does it connect to external AI services during gameplay.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains mature and potentially disturbing content, including domestic violence, school bullying, psychological trauma, depression, horror themes, self-destructive impulses, suicidal ideation and implied suicidal acts, bereavement, and pregnancy loss. It also includes strong language, crude and sexual humor, non-explicit sexual references and innuendo, mentions or abstract descriptions of masturbation, sexual harassment, smoking, alcohol use, and gross-out elements.

The story and unlockable content include anime-style violence, textual references to abuse and crime, non-graphic depictions of scars and injuries, and psychological-horror paintings featuring ghostly or monstrous figures. Sexual content is primarily conveyed through text, dialogue, and implication.

These elements appear in story text and visual content, including optional unlockable material.

A Teen Mode toggle is available to substantially reduce exposure to mature content. However, it does not eliminate all mature or disturbing elements from gameplay and should not be understood as a guarantee that the game is suitable for all teenagers or younger audiences.

The game also includes a documentary-style reference to traditional pig slaughter during a local New Year celebration. This scene mentions the planned slaughter and depicts the animal being restrained beforehand. The relevant photographs are censored. This scene does not show the actual killing, blood, or gore, and does not describe the slaughter graphically.
