“As we expand the content for "Ares Arena," we require user feedback to adjust game balance, improve usability, and ensure smooth performance. We aim to further enhance and refine the game in preparation for its official release based on the feedback we receive.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to release the official version next winter, following a period of approximately three months. As the official release is scheduled to take place once content additions and feature updates based on user requests are complete, the launch timing may shift; however, we will announce the specific release date via in-game news.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning to add new content—such as gems, blessings, Saints, and enemies—as well as new game modes and system improvements for better usability; additionally, we plan to update the artwork.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The following elements have been implemented:
・Core game mechanics and a "Crown Mode" (5 tiers) for each Saint

With its wealth of content and quick play sessions—taking as little as 15 minutes to clear—the game lets you enjoy the thrill of rapidly creating diverse builds over and over again. That is the appeal of Ares Arena.

Become a Follower of the God of War and Claim Victory and Glory

Choose a "Saint" with unique skills and step forward as a new challenger in the holy war. Those who triumph and earn the recognition of Ares, the God of War, shall obtain glory and everything their heart desires...

Gather Gems and Blessings to Enhance Your Puzzle Setup

The goal is simple: win seven battles to clear the game. You should breeze through the first fight without issue, but as you progress to the second and third rounds, your enemies will grow increasingly formidable. To keep pace—or surpass them—you must constantly strengthen yourself.

Over 140 types of gems and more than 60 blessings are at your disposal to help you overcome these challenges. Equipping newly acquired, more powerful gems changes the types of gems that appear in the puzzle. Different gems trigger various effects when cleared, so fill the board with the gems that suit your strategy.

If you crave even more power, collecting blessings to gain additional effects is another viable strategy. Want to generate more moves per turn? Want to rain down specific gems and trigger incredible chain reactions? That’s where blessings come in.

Defeat Formidable Foes

You will face a host of vicious and unique enemies, including those that unleash devastating ultimate attacks, hinder you with specific debuffs, or inflict status ailments on the board. While strategies like "landing hits" and "avoiding damage" make sense on paper, executing them is easier said than done. You’ll need to figure out how to dodge and counter their special abilities.

Beyond Death, Time and Time Again

Did an enemy take you down? Since this game features permadeath, you will—of course—lose all your equipment...

But really, all you lose are a few gems, some blessings, and just over ten minutes of time. There’s no need to get discouraged, and replaying doesn't take long. You’ve already learned the moves of the enemy that defeated you; next time, you’ll do even better.

High-Difficulty Mode: "Crown"

Did you find yourself thinking, "This game is over in just a few tens of minutes..."? Rest assured, that won't be an issue. Once you clear Normal Mode, Hard Mode awaits. You can embark on a challenging run with added restrictions. Since the specific restrictions vary by Saint, why not try tackling the "Crown" challenge for your favorite one?
