Two 40-minute chapters

The base game's chapters run 14 to 22 minutes. These two reach their boss at 36 minutes, with the boss fight after that.

They are not just longer. The difficulty is rebuilt in four bands — easy to 10 minutes, average to 20, hard to 30, then a steady climb. The first ten minutes are meant to be survivable; the level curve is tuned so your first evolution completes around the 30-minute mark.

Elite timing was re-cut to match the length. Where the base game runs 3, 8 and 14 minutes, these chapters run 5, 11 and 20.

• Sewing Box — Thread Snip, Snap Fastener, Basting Pin, Thimble, Floss Tangle. Pinking Shears closes it out.
  
• Backpack — Lunch Crumb, Textbook Corner, Earbud Cord, Umbrella Drip, Name Tag Pin. The Backpack Zipper ends the run.

Two new boss abilities

• Plow — telegraphs for 0.7 seconds, then charges along a fixed line, shoving everything in its path out to both sides. The direction locks when the telegraph starts, so where you can stand is already decided by then.
  
• Spill — flings props outward one at a time, five to a burst, each slamming into place. Where they land becomes impassable, and the orbit you were circling on quietly narrows.

Familiar abilities read differently here too. Scatter now jumps to you first and then bursts; sweep shoves twice in a row. The 20-minute elites pick between those two at random.

Expanded Challenge

An endless mode with six bosses in rotation. Its leaderboard is separate from the base challenge, so your existing records stay exactly where they are.

Before you add it

• You need the base game. This cannot be played without Button Down.
  
• Update Button Down to 1.1.0 or later. The expansion's content ships inside the base game build. Without that update the chapters will not appear, even once you own this.
  
• It is free, but you have to claim it. It is not granted automatically — add it to your library from this page.

and went through background removal, resizing and color correction before shipping.

machine-translated with AI and only some have had a human pass. If you spot an
awkward line, tell us and we will fix it.

This expansion adds no new music; it uses the base game's tracks. Sound effects are not
AI-generated — they are synthesized in real time by the game's code.

No AI runs while you play. Every piece of content ships as a fixed file — the game does
not generate anything during play and does not contact any AI service.
