About This Game

The heart of classic RPG

At its core Dungeons: The Green Plague is a classic story driven RPG with tactical turn-based combat and real time exploration where you crawl through ruins of an underground city of fallen civilization, evading and fighting its current hostile denizens on a quest to find an antidote for our mother’s sickness.

From Zero to Hero

You start with nothing. Along the way you gather weapons and items that fill your action deck with cards or give you passive bonuses. Your inventory is your card deck - pick and choose ones that suit your playstyle best without worrying about character classes. Whether you prefer heads on fighter approach, sneaking past enemy positions in shadows or overpowering battlefield with powerful spells is totally up to you. Just be smart about what you pick - you only have a few inventory slots to fill, and plenty of decisions to make.

Grow in strength as you gain experience, and choose between stats upgrade or proficiencies.
Stats impact your actions' chance of success and damage, improving your overall chance of survival.
Proficiencies on the other hand allow you to change how certain cards behave reinforcing your playstyle even more. Become jack-of-all-trades maverick or specialise in one aspect of combat - it’s all up to you. Come up with the best builds and synergies by trial and error.

How to Kill a Goblin?

Green bastard noticed you and it's too late to hide? Good. Maybe not good for him in this case.

Almost every item gives you cards you can play in combat. During your turn you'll get to use as many of them as your Action Points allow.

Smash and whack goblins into a pulp with swords, warhammers, daggers, fireballs, and environment alike until there's no one left.

Combine cards effect with profficiencies upgrades and your wits to dispatch them in tactical turn-based dynamic combat. Be crafty, stay alive.

Actions have Consequences

Gameplay and story changes based on your actions. The consequence system puts emphasis on Encounters - small events that happen throughout the game - be it picking up story items and bringing them home, killing important enemies, raising alarm, or seeing certain story events. Or not doing those at all - if you’ll choose to sneak past your enemies. Both being and not being a part of encounters has consequences.

Game consequences are simple - You do something and it may impact enemies alertness or close/open some doors changing the list of encounters you’ll see and paths you can take.

The story consequences you’ll have to face later through one of many endings.

And the beauty of it is you don’t get to change your story simply  with a few dialogue lines. Only what you do matters. Not what you say.

It’s your story

Your village is being taken by a mysterious blight. People start to get sick, crops rot and dwindle. Your mother falls ill. You have no choice but to go to the Capital looking for help and medicine.

That was the plan at least but you ended up here - in those long forgotten ruins of a city.

Its current denizens - those green bastards, goblins - are as hostile and dangerous as they come.

The path and actions you’ll take will determine if you’ll succeed on that quest. The darker and deeper the dungeon gets the thicker the plot surrounding the blight.

You must keep your wits about you if you want to get out of here alive and find a cure for your mother.

Multiple branching points and multiple endings - you’ll experience what you deserve. Nothing more nothing less. Actions have consequences.
