What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Nook is a living companion, and how it feels depends on real conversations. We want players in early so their feedback shapes the companions' personalities, video responses, and daily-life activities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Nook to stay in Early Access for roughly 6–12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more companions, more life activities and wardrobe items, smoother and more expressive video responses, and broader language support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable: text and local voice input, expressive video and voice replies, optional app, media and screen awareness, life activities, the wardrobe, relationship growth, multiple companions, and 20 languages.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the base price when leaving Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussion forums and regular updates, with player feedback directly guiding which features and companions come next.”

About This Game

A companion who is here, now

Nook brings a lifelike companion to your desktop. Talk by text or voice and receive expressive, one-time video replies with natural movement, speech, and lip sync. There is no message timeline to scroll through—the experience is built around the conversation happening right now.

Share everyday life

With your permission, your companion can understand useful context from the apps, media, and screen you choose to share. Pause observation at any time or control each source separately. Voice input is transcribed locally on your device.

Grow together

Open the life window to eat, rest, listen to music, study, work, build skills, and grow your relationship. Earn coins through everyday activities, discover new goals, and choose outfits from your wardrobe.

Made for your desktop

Keep your companion nearby in a compact, transparent window, summon a conversation with a shortcut, or hide the character when you need focus. Nook is designed to feel present without becoming another chat inbox.

Key features

  • Expressive AI-generated video and voice replies
  • Text and local voice input
  • Optional awareness of selected apps, media, and on-screen context
  • Life activities, wardrobe, progression, and relationship growth
  • Multiple companions with distinct personalities
  • 20 interface and conversation languages

A Google account and a continuous internet connection are required. AI replies are generated online and may vary.
