Move pieces in ways that ordinary shogi would never allow.
Instantly construct a powerful castle.
Set traps in your opponent’s path.
Protect a piece that should have been lost.

A single impossible move can rewrite the future of the board.

Trust the AI, or trust yourself.

You can call on AI assistance at any time during a match.

The AI analyzes the position and shows you strong moves and the current advantage.
But it will never tell you which magic card to use.

If you play a turn without viewing AI information, you earn more mana.

Rely on the AI and play accurately,
or give up that information and gather power for your magic.

That choice is part of the strategy of ULTIMATE SHOGI.

In the single-player mode, you enter the Kyuosen Tournament, where a cast of distinctive shogi players awaits.

Win matches, acquire cards, unlock abilities, and fight your way through the tournament.

Opponents who rely on traps and disruption.
And powerful rivals who understand ULTIMATE SHOGI just as well as you do.

Every opponent demands a different approach.

With AI assistance, you can see strong moves and learn your way through a match.

Experienced shogi players can instead turn off the assistance, rely on their own reading, and earn more mana.

Shogi skill alone will not decide the game.
Card-game knowledge alone will not decide it either.
