About This Game

Salvage Frontier is a single-player sci-fi action adventure with weapon progression and switchable first- and third-person perspectives. Arrive as a colonist on an alien planet, take assignments from a remote outpost, and venture into hostile territory to investigate a facility under lockdown.

Explore on foot, drive a rover, or ride a hoverbike between destinations. Your journey combines outdoor exploration, conversations, real-time combat, and missions that take you from the colony into the surrounding wilderness and facility interiors.

Take on missions for the colony

Begin with a training prologue that introduces your weapons and medical equipment. At the outpost, speak with Commander Voss and access assignments through a mission terminal. Fight aliens around the lake, obtain access to the locked-down facility, restore its power, and return to collect mission rewards. Select which accepted mission to track on your HUD.

Fight and develop your weapon proficiency

Engage hostile creatures with ranged weapons and a blade for close combat. Manage your ammunition, reload between attacks, and use your field medical device to restore health. Gain weapon proficiency experience through combat as you complete assignments and explore.

Travel through an alien frontier

Explore a landing region with forests, cliffs, roads, colony structures, and a lake. Use the rover or hoverbike to cover ground, then dismount to investigate locations on foot. A day-and-night cycle and changing weather alter the atmosphere of the region.

Manage your equipment and progress

Collect equipment, organize your inventory, and assign weapons and tools to a six-slot hotbar. Earn credits from completed missions, keep track of your objectives, and save your progress to continue your journey later.
