About This Game

The Residual is a short minimalist narrative platformer set inside a broken, dreamlike world.

You wake up with no memory of who you are, where you are, or why you are here. An unknown operator claims he can guide you out, but refuses to explain what this place is. As you move through fragmented levels connected by portals, pieces of memory begin to return: loneliness, a mysterious woman, and the name of a company called Dreamscape.

• A short atmospheric experience, playable in around 20-30 minutes

• Minimalist 2D platforming

• Story told through sparse text and environmental mood

• Two narrative voices: your own thoughts and an unknown operator
