STORY

A small convenience store in a quiet Japanese neighborhood. During the day there's a line for bento and coffee, students on their way home from school, and office workers heading home. After midnight, all that's left are empty streets, the hum of the coolers, and the occasional customer who, for some reason, also seems to be in no hurry to be anywhere.

You are Haruki, a twenty-two-year-old guy who urgently needed a job. The night shift seemed like the perfect option: fewer customers, more free time, and no unnecessary conversations.

At least, that's what the job listing said.

On your very first night, you're greeted by Mika — a girl who's worked here long enough to know the store better than its own owner. She shows you how to check in deliveries, where to hide the coffee from the manager, and why boxes should never be left by the storeroom door. And she very quickly figures out that flustering the new hire is a lot more fun than actually training him.

At first, your relationship is made up of teasing each other across the register, unloading deliveries together, and talking during breaks. Then you notice you're staying a little longer after your shift than you need to.

But Mika isn't the only one whose life crosses paths with the store at night.
