You wake up in the dark, somewhere loud.

You don't know what you are. You don't know where this is. You know the doors are closed.

Everything here is moving (pistons, fire, current) and all of it feels like it is against you.

Find a way out.

What you'll do

Small Matter is a 2D action-platformer set inside a vast, still-running factory. You play a small speck of matter fighting its way through brick corridors, crushing pistons, fire pits, acid, and the machines built to keep you in. There's no dialogue. The factory tells its own story.

Unlock abilities that change how you play

Find ability boxes hidden across the factory. Each one gives you a new move that works both for getting around and for fighting:

• Attack: hit back at the machines in your way

• Dash: a quick burst across gaps and past hazards

• Charge: build up a shield, then slam into enemies and break through crates

• Dive: drop hard from the air and crush whatever's below

Grow stronger

Collect shards to level up and earn skill points. Spend them in a skill tree on upgrades like better air control, a longer dive, and Diver Spikes, which sends a ring of spikes across the floor when you land a dive.

Explore one connected factory

Early on you'll see paths you can't open yet. Come back once you have the right ability for extra shards, health, and shortcuts. The main route never forces you to backtrack.

Hazards that are hard but fair

Pistons, fire pits, conveyors, steam vents, acid pools and electrified platforms all run on clear, learnable timing. Every hazard can be beaten with timing, not luck.

Enemies and bosses

Face charging robots, spinning saw bots, laser drones and more. Then take on the Train, a multi-phase boss fight with slams, shockwaves and electrified platforms.
